There's so much i've lost
lost on my way
i forgot where i was going
hence i lost my way
by losing my way
i've lost so much
things which i can't ever get back
this grassy path
once upon a time
was all i ever dreamed about.
to walk on it.
to find my own way.
to find my life.
to begin anew.
i remember the joy
excitement overflowed in me.
i was going to do
what i'd been dreaming of.
to find out what was
at the end.
at the end of that path.
but before i could even reach the halfway mark
i lost my way
i strayed
strayed away from the path.
and into the forest.
tall trees surround me.
so many obstacles.
no way out
just me alone
when did i lose my way way?
was it when i got caught?
caught by the forest's allure?
was it when i was enthralled by the unknown.
i was so focused on the end.
that i couldn't remember my way.
now neither can i move forward.
nor can i retrace my steps.
because there is no path.
no footprints.
no clue .
no sign
to follow
i'm stuck
in the middle of the forest.
A captive.
A captive of a dream and desire too big.
