"Yes, yes. I lease you from my hold." He waves his hand and a blast of power moves through the air.

It knocks Denali of off her feet and she goes crashing into the wall. I stare at her, feeling a little afraid at his power.

"Now that that's over, I have a suprise for you." He grins from ear to ear but it never reaches his eyes and that is the creepiest thing I've ever seen.

I take a step back as he walks toward me but I'm stopped when Shaun grabs my arm. He's still holding David but I can see he's ready to drop him if I so much as moved. Dante reaches me and traces a finger down my cheek. I flinch away from, but it doesn't deter him. He grabs my face in both his hands and stares intently into my eyes. I can feel magic pressing against my mind and I slam a mental wall in front of it.

"Interesting, no one has ever been able to withstand my powers." He takes a step back.

He regards me for a second before grabbing my arm and dragging me after him. I fight but he's incredibly strong, I only manage to hurt myself.

"Where are you taking me?!" I growl from behind him.

"Oh so she does talk! How delightful. I, my dear, am taking you to see your family."

I glance back to see if Shaun and Gabe are following us but instead I see another guard carrying Denali over his shoulder. She's passed out somehow. Shaun and Gabe are nowhere to be seen and I start to panic.

" Where's my friends?! " I yank my arm back, trying to get free.

I throw my entire body weight into it and manage to make him stumble but not much else.

"You're a strong one." He looks at me a little confused but continues on, ignoring my question.

The room we're in is surprisingly big. We walk for at least 5 minutes through various doors until be reach, what looks to be a library. Bookshelves are lined around the room, covering every inch of the place. Ancient books cover the spaces. There must be hundreds or maybe even thousands of books. Under beter circumstances I would've loved this room. He walks toward the back of the room, shadowy and cold. Almost as cold as the hallway we stepped into earlier. He grabs a book and pulls, reveling a secret passage. Flames come to life as he leads us down a steep staircase. The passage is narrow and we have to walk single file. He still keeps a holf of my wrist unfortunately. The air becomes colder and colder until my breath fogged up the air in front of me. We reached the end of the staircase and moved through various tunnels.

"Put Denali in the blue room, I'll deal with her later." He says sharply to the guard.

I'm a little startled after the quiet that followed us down the stairs. I try pulling away from him again when the guard dissapears down one of the tunnels. He moves so quickly, I didn't even see it. One moment I was standing behind him and the next I was crushed against his chest with his lips very closed to my ear.

"If you don't stop struggling I will make you stop, do you hear?" He strokes his finger down my cheek again, reaching my neck.

"I would hate to hurt you. After all, you are my secret weapon. Now will you co-operate or do you need to be forced?"

I gulp and nod my head, to afraid to speak. I have absolutely no clue what kind of creature he is, but by the looks of it, a powerful one. We move through the never ending tunnel until he suddenly stops. I almost bumped into him. The door we are standing in front of can't really be classified as a door. There's steel bars covering the entrance vertically but also vines. Ive vines cover and curl around everything it touches. Silvery pink flowers bloom here and there and I feel compelled to touch them. I reach him -

"Don't touch that you stupud child. These flowers were made to deter supernaturals for a reason. Now if you don't want to live be my guest by I Still need you."

His eyes changed to a scarlett colour we gets mad, it's terrifying to look at. His skin also pales and makes the red stand out even more. Dante says a few words in a language I don't understand and the vines recede from the steel bars ever so slowly, like snakes crawling away. He waves his hand again and the bars lift up from the ground with a shudder.

"What is this place?" I ask.

The air around is feels like it's rippling. Magic flows through it like water through a stream. The darkness is almost absolut, the only light coming from the door behind us. I close my eyes trying to adjust to the sudden darkness. When I open them, I gasp in horror. My father is impaled through his stomach, stuck on the wall. Dacian is hung from a nonexistent ceiling by iron chains, holding him immobile. I put my hand over my mouth, not believing what I'm seeing.

"Sit." Dante says.

A rock is formed from the ground we are standing on and my body is moved to sit on top of it as if I was controlled by strings, like a puppet. I try talking but my mouth is clamped shut.

"Ares will you please come out, there's no need to hide. " Dante looks at me, then smiles wickedly.

"How lovely to see you daughter." A man steps out of the shadows, revealing himself.

He's got perfect skin, as white and smooth as porcelain. His eyes are blue but he has the same red hair as I do. He has a lean body and is probably around thew meters tall. My vampire jumps to the forefront of my mind suddenly, recognizing her kin. I frown in confusion then glance up at my father, who might not actually be my father.

"You know, at first I didn't believe a silly old shifter could pass of as being your father, but now I see it was true. Tell me, how come you believed him?" Ares says noticing my frown.

He looks genuinely confused. I look between them and I don't really now either.

" If you're my father, why are you doing that to Dacian?" I want to point but my body is still immobile.

" Because he is not my child and he never will be!" He loses his temper for a sscond and he looks terrifying.

His eyes darken to an almost black colour. His teeth elongate almost to his chin and his skin pales even more. He regains his composure and his teeth shrink back to their normal size but his eyes stay the same.

"What do you mean he's not your child? He's my brother!" I growl at him.

"Yes I know that! But he's still not my child. Your mother isn't a very faithful woman as I'm sure you've heard before. She fled from out home when she found out she was carrying someone else's child along with mine. I have no idea how that was possible but if she would've given me a chance I would've raised him as my own. " Sadness crosses his features for a moment before his expression returns to scary.

" I don't know what happened between you, but we've got nothing to do with it. So please release us and we'll be on our way. "My voice comes out surprisingly strong.

" Oh we both know that's not true. You came here to fulfill the prophecy. "
