Chae Euna was practically done with life.

It seemed like everything was going to kill her and/or wanted her dead.

That was why she brought it up to herself to say fuck it and start skipping classes. She was in jeans and a grunge t-shirt, a kitchen knife stuffed in her boot.

"And what are you doing," Changbin said as he sat on the counter eating a bag of chips.

"Going to get myself killed," she huffed as she grabbed her keys.

"Great," he said hopping off and following. "You know imma have to join?"

"Yup."

Euna locked the front door and walked down the hallway of her apartment complex before reaching the elevator to which Changbin followed.

"So why are you gonna get yourself killed," he said as the doors opened, a young couple giving the two strange looks as they exited.

"I'm sick of this bullshit," Euna groaned, "I just want everything to go back to normal!"

"But then I'd leave," Changbin said.

He felt a wrenching in his stomach as he thought about the idea.

"That's what you want isn't it," she retaliated.

Changbin was silent.

That was what he had wanted a while ago, but as the days with Euna grew he wasn't so sure. Of course he couldn't like her, he was a demon, things as such weren't supposed to happen. At least he thought so. Demons were supposed to be evil and manipulative creatures, this whole job was ruining it. But did Changbin actually care anymore?

Euna walked out of the apartment complex, Changbin slowly trailing behind her.

Euna was on a mission.

A known mission?

No.

She had no clue which entity she was looking for to kill her.

She didn't care.

She just wanted to stab one of those son of bitches.

Euna and Changbin has been roaming the campus streets for an hour with no prevail.

"I think your the problem," Euna said nonchalantly.

"What?!"

Changbin was taken back. He was the problem?!

"Yeah your scaring those fuck heads away," she said not even looking at him.

"Oh."

There was silence when Euna turned back to look at him.

He had gotten too close. Way too close.

His breath was hitting the top of her forehead as the two stared at each other. His eyes gazing straight into hers. Her lips partly apart as her arm brushed against his.

For some reason there was a pull. He leaned in and his breaths were now hitting Euna's nose. Her breath hitched as she felt the pull as well and leaned in.

Their noses brushed before a loud pop startled the two. Changbin pushes himself backwards while Euna fell to her butt.

Changbin felt guilty, but more than that lost and ashamed. What was he about to do?

He knew. He just didn't want to admit it.

Euna was already on her feet and running off, Changbin teleporting to catch up.

"Changbin I think your scaring them off," she said during breaths. "Maybe leave and come back if I call."

Changbin felt ashamed and popped away to the roof building.

He watched below, Euna still no where to be seen from where he was. He laid on his back and closed his eyes, focusing on hearing Euna's thoughts. He couldn't.

Euna on the other hand had started walking.

What had she almost done? She had almost kissed a demon. Why? She didn't know. She hadn't supposed to. He couldn't feel, he was just taking advantage of the situation.

She fed off of the negative thoughts. How he wasn't there on his own will, how he was willing to leave the minute this whole mess was over, how he simply didn't care. It hurt. The quicker he was gone the less pain.

Then she felt a presence.

"Changbin," she called turning around.

She was completely alone in a small corner off of the main campus' street.

"I didn't call you," she said as she spun around. "Seungmin? Jisung? Jeongin? Felix?"

No response.

She thought.

"Changbin?"

He heard his name and teleported to where she has left him almost immediately. She wasn't there.

He heard her calls stop. He began to grow frantic.

He heard her call one last time.

It was out loud though.

He raced towards her voice only to find her on the ground shaking, but without any visible wounds.

"Are you alright," he asked as he went to help her up. "What happened?"

"Nothing," she said smiling, "I'm just cold."

Changbin nodded in suspicion as he turned away, not catching the flash of gold in Euna's eyes.

Welp
