Euna woke up with bright lights and warm breezes flooding her senses. Opening her eyes, light immediately burned them. She moved her hand to cover them, but to no prevail. She squinted finally took in her surroundings.
She was on a cloud, a giant window with white marvel, balcony with gold vines all over it was to her right. Everything was white and gold. There were columns and some were just floating. White plant boxes filled with gold pants floated around.
What the actual fuck.
She sat up, the veil of smoke that had wrapped over her body vanishing as she did so.
Instead of the top she had came in, there was a white tunic. Panicking, Euna quickly looked under, and her bra was still on. Unfortunately, someone had still changed her.
She went to get up, but the room went spinning the minute she tried to. The cloud opened a hole from where she was sitting and she was dropped flat onto the ground that was at least 3 feet below.
"Oh crud," a familiar voice said, "she's up!"
Footsteps were heard and soon enough the cloud above her was seated away and she was lifted up.
"Chan?"
Chan places her in a small hammock that was, you guessed it, white.
"Am I in heaven, am I dead," Euna said startled as she saw outside.
All she saw was sky.
"Yes."
"Wait what," Euna said, startled.
"Yes your in heaven," Hyunjin said turning the corner, "but your not dead. Clarify Chan, for fucks sake!"
Euna looked at Chan then Hyunjin. Chan was even more pale than usual, along with Hyunjin.
"What happened," Euna asked as she swung the hammock.
"You got possessed," Hyunjin said sitting down cross legged on the ground stirring his tea. "Yeeted Felix into a wall, got un-possessed, Chan caught you when you passed out, then he gave some of his life force so you won't be stuck in Missouri."
"Wait what," Chan said, "Missouri?"
"Yeah what the fucks wrong with Missouri," Euna said.
It seemed as if a light bulb went off in Hyunjin's head as he looked at the two's confusion.
"Oh well me, Jeongin, and Felix call it Missouri," Hyunjin clarified, "what it's really called is Limbo!"
"Oh gosh," Chan said, "she's still not going to know what that is."
"Isn't that the game with the bar," Euna said confused.
"Well yes but no," Hyunjin smiled, his eyes crinkling.
"It's basically when you body gets stuck, but your soul is separated and put into a deep sleep because it doesn't have enough life force to stay alive but has too much life force to die," Chan explained.
"Oh."
Chan stood awkwardly above Hyunjin who just sat crisscross on the ground drinking his tea.
"Can I go back to earth," Euna asked as she stared at Chan.
His face darkened immediately while Hyunjin snapped his head up to look back and forth between Euna and Chan.
"No," Chan said quickly.
Euna was surprised.
"But why?!"
Hyunjin quickly sucked in his breath as he scurried up, his wings brushing against the hammock and making it sway. He rushed away and pushed the white beads in the door frame as he left.
"Because everything down there is trying to kill you," he said, "your safer here!"
"But Changbin is down there," Euna exclaimed.
Chan's face seemed to darken even more.
"What has he even done for you," he exclaimed, "your safe here why would you go back?! Everybody saw that fiasco, they won't think your human!"
"Well can't someone erase their memories or something," she exclaimed.
Chan glared at her as he stepped forward and grabbed her hand.
"The only one we knew who had that power has been missing for the past two years," he scowled.
"Then find them," she said, "Seungmin can track people through dreams!"
"Demons won't help anyone but themselves," he snapped tightening his grip on her hand. "Seungmin maybe, but I highly doubt so! Changbin left you, each time he does your out in danger!"
"I asked him to leave," Euna screamed, "and the first time we got in a fight! You left and I nearly died, where were you!"
"Doing my job unlike Changbin," he argued.
"He's done his job," Euna said, "he's protected me. He left and something happened because he wasn't there to protect me. Twice! For more weeks that two days, he's been protecting and helping me. I'd say he's done one hell of a job!"
"That's what you think," he said, "where are you? Your in heaven! Because of me!"
"I never asked you to," she yelled, "I never asked Changbin."
Chan was taken aback.
"Euna I-"
"Hush I did not ask for you to speak," Euna said getting up with a stumble, Chan's hand still clasped around hers.
"I asked to go back to earth," she said.
"And I said no," Chan said before letting go of her hand.
With that he walked past her and jumped off the balcony.
Euna raved after him, only to see him sore back up, his large white wings making the wind whistle through the feathers.
She was stuck in a heaven that she didn't want to be in.
