Oh shit.

I saw Kimberly outside a club with some friends; she instantly recognised me, her mouth stretching into a smile. She clumsily hobbled over to me and drunkenly flung her arm around my shoulders. I tried to escape her embrace, but she had a surprisingly strong grip.

"Long time no see, baby," she said. I saw Natalie smirking to herself next to me, but covering her mouth with her hands.

"Who's she?" Kimberly suddenly asked, narrowing her eyebrows at Natalie. Oh shit, had I got her into this? Damnit!

"Just -"

"Here, you. Hands off, Ash. He's my boyfriend."

My mouth fell in horror - what the hell? Since when was Kimberly my girlfriend? I'd hooked up with her for a week or something - and that was years back anyway! I saw Natalie looked slightly nervous, but she remained composed.

"We're not dating," Natalie said, her voice not wavering in the slightest.

"Actually, we are," I said. Shit! Where had that come from?! I instantly regretted my words. Well, no, I didn't regret the actual words, I more regretted the time I had chosen to let them out of my mouth. I could sense Kimberly about to murder both Natalie and me on the spot, so I quickly wrestled my way out of Kimberly's arm and grabbed Natalie's hand, breaking out into a sprint.

We turned a corner and stopped. I'd only then realised that we were holding hands. I thought about letting go before I realised Natalie hadn't let go. I liked holding her hand. I didn't let go.

She then suddenly let go and folded her arms, and then swivelled on her heels to face me.

"Right, okay. One, I don't care about your personal life, but who was that? And two, since when was I your girlfriend?"

Okay, she sounded kinda mad. Had I really pissed her off or something?

"One, she was my ex-girlfriend - actually, I only went out with her for, like, a week? Or a day or something... so she wasn't really a girlfriend anyway," I said, scratching my hair. I saw her raise her eyebrows slightly, a smirk playing on her lips. Oh stuff this, just go for it, Ash, I thought.

"And two, you're my girlfriend as of right now," I said, pulling her into a hug.

I nearly regretted my words, before Natalie wrapped her arms round my waist and then lifted her head to face me. I still had a little doubt on whether she was mad or not, but I saw her smirking.

"Cheeky bastard," she muttered, laughing.
