It had now been a fortnight that I had officially been dating my very hot neighbour.

It had also now been a fortnight that my flatmate and one of my best friends, Maisie, had been dating our other very hot neighbour.

Maisie had been hyperventilating since the second she had walked into our flat after her first walk with Stef. It all honesty it had surprised Jay and me that the two of them had even managed to ask each other out without needing to be taken to the A&E.

I did have to keep reminding myself it had only been a fortnight. Two weeks. Fourteen days. We'd hung out at coffee shops, seen a movie, gone for evening walks. Nothing particularly fancy or extravagent, but that's what how I liked it. Somehow, we'd managed to keep our distance though. It was awesome.

We were all hanging out in our flat; we'd ordered a takeout as X Factor flashing in the background. We hadn't been paying much attention to it, just having conversations ourselves. Even Stef and Maisie managed to speak - it was honestly a miracle being performed before our eyes.

"Oh my God, it's District 3!" Jay suddenly yelled, pointing at the screen. "Shh!"

"Fuck yeah!" Ash and Nathan yelled simultaneously, grabbing their phones. I looked over Ash's shoulder to find him rapidly tweeting, his fingers moving ridiculously fast.

We all shut up and watched Jay's bias perform. We all screamed and cheered and clapped so loudly at the end of the performance we didn't even hear the judges' comments. They had done brilliantly.

"The groups are amazing this year," I said, checking my own phone for the latest Twitter updates.

"I know, right?" said Jay, her fingers stabbing her phone screen. Nathan peeked at her screen and suddenly burst out laughing. Out of curiousity, we all checked Jay's page, seeing possibly one of the most fangirly tweets ever. @District3Music: AAAAAH OMG YOU WERE SO SO AMAZING I LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH!!!!!!! <3 Mrs Ferarri-Lane<3

"Since when was my surname 'Ferarri-Lane'?" Nathan joked, as Jay elbowed him.

There was then an ad break and everyone took the opportunity to go for a pee or to get something to drink. I began to tidy away some of the empty boxes and Ash offered to help me.

"Do you want to go out for a meal sometime soon?" he asked casually, shoving a box into the bin.

"Sure! When?"

Ash shrugged and suggested a date on his phone calendar.

"I've actually got a family dinner then, my mum's birthday," I said apologetically.

Ash nodded and shrugged, before turning round to face me. "Can I come?" he said, before pausing and adding, "Can't wait to meet the inlaws!"

What. The hell? We'd been going out with him for a fortnight. Not even a blooming month! Two weeks. Two weeks. TWO WEEKS! My jaw dropped in utter shock. Was he being bloody serious?! Meet the inlwas? Joke or WHAT?

He smirked at my expression.

"I take that as a yes then!"

Why not, I thought. Why not.
