The game ended and most of the Ducks were finished taking off their gear and had left with their parents. Willow had to walk home since her mom would still be working, but again she didn't mind. Wil had remembered to bring my roller blades, thankfully. This walk was gonna tire her out a more since she was already tired from the game.

Wil found a bench outside to put on her roller blades and was getting ready to skate home when someone had called out her name grabbing her attention. "Hey Pearson!" She turned around to see Connie run up to her. "I didn't properly introduce myself. I'm Connie" She said stuck her hand out.

"Willow. But uh call me Wil" Wil took Connies hand.

"Ok Wil. Some of the guys and I were gonna go to the pond you wanna come." Connie asked grinning wide.

"Aren't you guys tired?" Connie shook her head. I guess after losing so much winning really gets them pumped. "I don't think the team is very fond of me" Willow didn't feel like 'crashing the party' or revive rude comments on just because she was there.

"No it's fine really, the only guy you gotta worry about is Jesse. Besides Adam's the one he doesn't like, not you" she said as a few of the guys who she was guessing were gonna go to the pond walked out and talked among themselves.

"Okay, but I'm not sure how long I can stay I've got to be home soon."

"Great! I'll go tell the guys." Connie turned to walk away, but then instantly turned around again. "You might want to change into actual shoes for now" she said pointing at my roller blades. Wil looked down at them and smiled reaching over to grab her shoes. Connie walked off to tell the others.

When Connie and Wil got to the pond everyone was already in their skates. Wil didn't spot the guy she knew as Jesse so she relaxed a little. There were only six of them out on the pond.

Karp spotted them first and he didn't look pleased, but he didn't say anything to Wil as they got closer.

Charlie skated over to the two of them, "Hey glad you could make it."

"Uh thanks."

Wow this was awkward.

"So you are on my team along with Karp. Connie, Peter, and Guy are on the other team. You ready?"

"Yeah I just need to get my skates on." Charlie nodded and skated back to the group.

The game started once they were spilt into teams. Willow couldn't remember the last time she had so much fun playing hockey. Wil expected them to be more aggressive towards her, but they didn't't even seem to notice that she hadn't been on their team from the start.

The team played together for about an hour before Willow had to leave early since she lived further. She really didn't feel like walking home in the pitch dark.

Willow had gotten home a couple minutes later and noticed the lights on. She assumed that her mom was home early. She went through the garage opening her hockey bag and laying out gear so it could dry.

Wil stepped into the house and walked towards the kitchen setting down her backpack. "Hey mom I'm home. Sorry I didn't come home right away. I went to a pond with some of my- oh dad thought you were mom." She was surprised he was home. She went around the island to hug him. "I thought you weren't gonna be home till tomorrow. I would have come home sooner."

"Its fine honey we finished early. I really tried to be here in time for your game. So how was your first game on the new team?"

"It was surprisingly good" Wil looked in the pantry for something to eat.

"Make any friends?" He questioned pulling a plate of pizza out of the microwave. Willow smiled and took a piece when he set the plate down.

"I'm not sure, but two people actually talked to me. A girl Connie and a boy Guy" She answered hoping he wouldn't say anything about her talking to a boy.

"A boy huh?" He said smiling knowing she would get annoyed with the question.

"Yes dad a boy, my team has about twelve of them."

"Hey I was just asking" He said putting his hands up in defeat.

"Ha ha. Well i'm tired and I stink so I think I'm gonna take a shower then sleep." Wil said while heading upstairs after grabbing on more piece of pizza.

"Okay goodnight honey"

"Goodnight dad."
