I continued walking with the rest of my friends in the line. when we came passed another hall I quickly did a somersault breaking away from the line. I flattened my back against the wall and looked around the corner to check if the guard had noticed.
he hadn't and I shook my head at the lack of proper guards. If I only i knew, I would have gotten out a long time ago. I got down into a squat and looked down at the little paper. and the second key. what was this key for? I looked over at the small piece of paper again but didn't spot anything. I turned the second key around in my hand and saw that the key had a number engraved into it. 335.
I looked down the hall and spotted a black door. I stayed in my crouch as I slowly approached the door. I looked up at it and noticed there were numbers on this door. The number was 315. So this key must open door 335. That room must have something I need in it. I continued walking down the hall. the numbers on the door were rising which meant I was going the right direction.
I came apon and intersection. I ran my hand through my hair and decided to go right. The halls were empty which was good. But I had to be careful with my steps and made sure they weren't too loud. I speed walked down the hall silently towards the next door that happened to be half way into the hall. It had the number 330. I looked down the rest of the hall and noticed 3 more door outlines. I walked towards the doors but then hear noises behind me. I looked over my shoulder and didn't see anyone. they must be coming towards the intersection.
I faced the door next to me and it read Janitors Closet, perfect. I turned the knob and pushed it open and walking in. It was dark in here but I could smell the different detergents that were in this room. I closed the door gently making sure the click couldn't be heard. I flattened my ear onto the door to hear for the voices.
"Are you sure this is the right way?" I hear a female voice from a distance.
"Mary I know where I'm going." said a male voice.
The footsteps are getting closer and closer to the room I was in. If I wanted to get to the room I needed to knock these two out. I cant have people following me. the footsteps become loud as they passed by the door. once they passed I opened the door a little bit just to peak out. they were a few 5 feet away. I dipped back into the room and looked around. It wasn't as dark as it should be. Or maybe it was just me being used to the dark. I walked over to the shelf and looked over it. I spotted some rags and picked it up.
Maybe I could use this to suffocate them. I held it up to my own nose to see if It was breathable. It in fact was so I folded it over a few more times then tried again. It was much harder to breathe into now. And with enough pressure it was good. I tiptoed to the door again and opened it much wider.
I put my head out first and noticed that they were a bit farther then before. I took quiet but fast steps behind them. Mary was in the back and I got close to her. she was a foot shorter then me so this would be easier. I wrapped my arm around her body then held the rag over her nose and mouth. It muffled her screams very well. She was a feisty one, she wouldn't stop moving to try and get out of my grasp but I had my arm tightly around her stopping any form of movement with her arms.
I put pressure on the rag. her little companion hadn't noticed what was happening and continued walking. her thrashing started to seize. So I started walking backwards into the janitors room. and kicked the door a softly until it closed but not all the way. I felt her throw her head back to slam into my head but I had leaned back to avoid it. In doing so I had let go of her for a split second but she took advantage of that second and tore herself out of my hold. She put a little distance between us and started gasping for air. I could tell by her red face that I almost had her.
