Naruto: Piercing Hearts (Sasuke x OC)

Sakura's Sin

Sakura just got home from the hospital, and she sees her daughter Sarada in the living room, looking down sadly at a magazine

"Sarada?" she calls

"Mom" Sarada looks up and greets her

"What's the matter dear?" Sakura asks

Sarada looks down sadly again

"Mom, who's my dad?" she asks

Sakura is taken aback by this. When she was much younger, she would always ask her. Sakura usually told her that he's away, working. She never had a full answer for her so Sarada just stopped asking at some point

"Why did you suddenly bring him up?" Sakura asks, trying to keep her composure

"Well, my classmates and I were sharing our family backgrounds with each other. One of my classmates brought up thier dad, and so the others joined in telling stories about theirs. And yet I don't know anything about mine, I don't even know his name. I couldn't share anything about my father to my classmates"

The sight breaks Sakura's heart

'I want to tell you so bad who your father is Sarada but I...'

What she did was a sin and if she tell daughter the story of her conception...she'll hate her or worse, hate herself

"Please tell me mom. At least tell me if he's dead or alive"

"Well he's umm..." she can't outright say it

'Even if I tell her he's dead, she would want to visit his grave and his back story. Even if I make up a random guy, she's a smart kid, she will find out that it was all lies'

"Why won't you tell me? Don't I have the right to know my own father?!" Sarada yells

"It's late, go to sleep Sarada" Sakura says seriously

Sarada runs to her room, upset

Sakura sighs

'It's not like I don't want to tell her'

Sakura sighs again as she sits down on the sofa

She remembers the entrance ceremony this morning when she took Sarada to the Academy

*FLASHBACK*
When she dropped Sarada off, Sakura catches sight of three familiar looking kids

It's Sosuke, Shiho, and Shun. They're with Shiori's younger brother. Sakura sometimes see them at the facility

'They really look like Sasuke, especially Sosuke'
*END OF FLASHBACK*

Shiori and Sakura made up, soon after the war

'If she and Sasuke finds out what I did...'

A few days after that, Sarada has been pestering her mother about her father nonstop

There are multiple reasons why Sakura doesn't want to tell Sarada anything about her father. One is because she doesn't want Sarada to find out that her father was an enemy of Konoha in the past and that he has another family and that she is an illegitimate child of his. And the most important reason, is that she doesn't want her finding out what she did to concept her

Sakura is walking through a quiet street, where she spots Naruto

"Naruto!" she calls as she approach him

"Huh? Oh hey Sakura"

"What are you doing out here?" Sakira asks

"I just finished meeting with someone, now I'm just waiting for Shikamaru" he answers

"I see"

Naruto and Shikamaru are the only ones who knows about Sarada's conception

"What's wrong Sakura? Why the long face?" Naruto asks worriedly

"*Sigh* It's about Sarada..." Sakura tells Naruto what's been happening with Sarada lately

"It's only natural for her to want to meet her father but I understand why you can't brought it up" Naruto says

"Yeah. If Shiori finds out what I did to her husband, she'll kill me" Sakura says

They suddenly hear a camera shutter going off

"Huh?" Sakura turns around and see one guy pointing a camera at them, while the other take notes

"Konoha's princess, Shiori will be upset when she learns this"

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?!" Sakura yells

"Eek!" they react as they speedily dash away

"Don't tell me they heard that" Naruto says as they run after the two guys

They must be determined because they outran two ninjas in the crowd

"Oh no!" Sakura says worriedly

"Don't worry Sakura, I'll talk to them"

"What are you two doing? I've been looking for you Naruto" Shikamaru says as he approaches them

Naruto explains the situation

"What if they tell Sasuke and Shiori about this?" Sakura says

"You're a smart guy, what do you think we should do Shikamaru?" Naruto asks

"Then I suppose we're going to have to  beat them to it" Shikamaru says

"You don't mean" Sakura gulps in fear

"I mean you don't have to. It's just that, the press might publish it before we find out their identity. Wouldn't it be much worse if Sasuke and Shiori found out through the papers, or much worse, the television?"

Sakura hesitates

"When the scoop is about Shiori, the press would always talk to her first before they make it public. And if we were to explain first, and if we're lucky enough for them to understand, Shiori could ask the press not to release the story" Shikamaru explains

She doesn't want to tell Sasuke and Shiori, but she knows she has to. For Sarada's sake

"I never thought the day would come that I'd confess to my biggest secret" she laugh bitterly

"It's okay Sakura, we'll be there with you" Naruto says

"Thanks guys" she smiles

"Sasuke and Shiori should be arriving today. For the mean time, let's try finding out the identity of those reporters" Shikamaru says

Naruto and Sakura nods

The three of them return to the Hokage office. They can't seem to find out who those reporters are, so their probably still interns

'That means, I'm really going to have to confess'

They're still at the office, Naruto already summoned Sasuke and Shiori to his office. After a while, the two of them enters the room

"Oh, you're here too Sakura" Shiori smiles at Sakura

'I can't even look her in the eyes. Lucky for me when Shiori smiles, she usually close her eyes. So she doesn't have to see my strained face for a bit'

"Here's the report of our mission Naruto" Sasuke says as he hands Naruto a folder

"Thank, listen, why don't you two take a seat" Naruto says

"If this is about the mission, there's nothing urgent to report" Shiori says

"I'm sure our children are eagerly awaiting our return. All the details are already in the file" Sasuke adds

"Oh it's not about that. We need to discuss some personal matters" Shikamaru says

Shiori and Sasuke looks at each other before taking their seats

"So? What is this about?"

"Let's make this quick, our kids are waiting for us" Sasuke says

"Listen you two, Sakura has something to confess" Shikamaru starts

"Alright? What is it" Shiori asks

Sakura gulps before speaking
