A new day at school. Sarada is still upset about what happened with Sasuke, of course, her two friends notices the shift in her mood
"What's the matter Sarada?" Sumire asks
"Yeah, you've been really gloomy since you walked in class" Cho Cho comments
"I'm fine, really" Sarada says
Sumire and Cho Cho tries to ask her what's wrong but she remains quiet about the situation
Boruto meanwhile is causing a racket, he puts an board eraser at the door
"I wonder who's the unlucky person to get caught by my trap" he grins
"Um Boruto, you really shouldn't do that" Denki says
"Yeah, if it's Sensei who walks through that door, you're in big trouble, and not just with Sensei" Shikadai says as he watch his friend grin happily
"Then he should see it coming, he is supposed to be one of the most talented ninjas in Konoha after all" Boruto points out
Some time later, the door opens wider, revealing the three Uchiha kids
'Whoa, looks like Sosuke is the target' Boruto grins wider as the eraser starts falling
But much to Boruto's dismay, Sosuke sees this coming and kicks the eraser towards Boruto, hitting him in the face
"Ack!"
Everyone in the room laughs
"I'm not an idiot to fall for a stupid prank like that, try harder you loser" Sosuke says as the girls squeal at his attitude
"Why you!" Boruto grits his teeth in annoyance
"Refrain from doing pranks in the first place, it's rather immature" Shun sighs
"Don't even try pulling one on us, especially Sosuke, he never falls for it" Shiho adds as the three takes their seats
'Oh really now? We'll see about that'
Sarada looks at the Uchiha kids, when Shiho turns, they're eyes connects
'Shiho is looking this way'
Sarada waves at Shiho, but Shiho ignores her and turns her gaze back to the front, making Sarada sad
'We're sisters, we're supposed to get along'
Everyone is listening to Shino's lecture, when he suddenly calls for a volunteer to perform the shadow clone jutsu
"Can anyone demonstrate here in front?"
Boruto and Sosuke raises their hands at the same time
'Trying to outdo me huh?' Boruto thinks to himself
"Alright, you two come to the front and demonstrate to your classmates" Shino says
"Alright, here I go" Boruto says as he does the shadow clone, creating two clones of himself
"Very good Boruto. Sosuke, it's your turn" Shino nods
"Right" Sosuke nods back and does the hand signs, producing four clones. This earns him another cheer from the students, especially the girls
"Good job Sosuke" Shun says proudly to his brother
"Marvelous Sosuke!" Shiho claps happily
"I expected nothing less from the one and only Sosuke Uchiha" Inojin says
'I'm Sosuke Uchiha. It's only natural I perform well'
"Hn" unbothered, Sosuke returns to his seat, right next to his siblings
Boruto clicks his tongue as he also returns to his seat, right next to Shikadai and Denki
"You did good" Shikadai says
'Grrr. I won't let him beat me again'
After their lessons, their class goes outside for application training. In the field, everyone is instructed to have a sparring practice using the techniques they have learned, Shun and Shiho paired up with each other while Sosuke pairs up with Inojin
Sosuke overpowers Inojin, making him fall on his back
"You've really gotten better Sosuke. I was no match for you" Inojin comments
"You've gotten better too compared to the last time we sparred with each other" Sosuke says
"Really? That's good coming from you, oh great one" Inojin laughs
A little far away from them, Boruto is watching them intently
"Focus Boruto" Shikadai says as he goes for a hit
"Yeah yeah. Let's stop for now" Boruto says
"What are you planning this time?" Shikadai sighs at his friend
"I'm challenging mister perfect over there" Boruto says as he starts making his way to Sosuke
"Wait! Boruto!" Shikadai calls for his friend but he ignores him
Inojin and the Uchiha kids are talking, they stop when they see Boruto approaching
"Oh hello Boruto" Shiho smiles
"What do you want?" but contrary to his twin sister, Sosuke says this with much attitude
"I challenge you to a match!" Boruto exclaims
"No thanks, sounds like a waste of time" Sosuke says
Boruto grits his teeth at Sosuke's attitude. But then he gets a bright idea
"I see, you're scared to lose to me aren't you? Don't worry, I completely understand" he says
Sure enough, this ticks Sosuke off
"Alright, let's do this" Sosuke says as he do a stance
'Great, he took the bait' Boruto smirks
Their sparring match start. Sosuke's fast movements became a challenge for Boruto
'Woah, this guy's fast'
Before Boruto could dodge Sosuke's first attack, Sosuke is already doing a next one
The other students stops their own sparring to watch the two in action. Even Shino comes to see the match
It's a stretch to say they're evenly matched, Sosuke proved to be a tough opponent for Boruto
When Boruto loses to Sosuke, he grits his teeth in anger
The other students cheers
"How could I lose to that guy" Boruto says as he clenches his fists
"Sosuke trains every day, he trains harder than anyone. However, you also did wonderfully Boruto" Shiho smiles
'That's it, I can't lose to him again. If he trains an hour a day, I'll train two. I'll double the time he does to train. I can't lose to him, I just can't'
Sosuke stares at Boruto, when his two siblings along with Inojin approaches him
"Looks like he's determined to beat you Sosuke" Shun says as he also looks at Boruto
"Indeed, check out the fire in his eyes" Shiho adds
"Yeah, he's fired up now" Inojin laughs
"He can challenge me all he wants, he'll never beat me" Sosuke says as he turns away from Boruto
'That's right, I train hard everyday to be like father one day. I will not tarnish the Uchiha name'
