"Hi." Asahi said as he sat next to me in my car. "How do I look?" He asked and I looked at him from head to toe.

He began to shift in his seat. "Wait, no. Um.. don't look at me." He quickly said, not looking at me.

I grinned and he began to pout. "Please don't look."

"Why not? You asked for it." I smirked, scanning his outfit and stopping to stare at his tight jeans. He glares at me, "Stop looking there."

"I don't know what you're talking about." I teased and he averted his eyes from me. "Forget about it... Where we headed?" He changed the subject and I smiled.

It was Saturday. I planned the date a few days ago and he accepted it because he'd say he would give me a chance at redeeming myself as I was acting like an idiot, being a controlling buddo I was (and that wasn't a real word– I think). "It's a surprise." I said.

"I hate surprises. Might as well tell me now." He looked at me and I shook my head. "It's a surprise, buddy." I teased.

He scoffed. "Huh. Buddy, you say."

"Do you rather I call you 'babe'?" I asked and he snorted. I laughed out loud at the sudden noise he made and he glared at me. "That... was so not attractive." I said with a large grin and he pouted, arms over his chest. "Just drive." He said, this time in a more quieter voice. I decided to not say anything, the 10 minute drive being silent. The place I planned for the date isn't all that special but I thought it'd be cute. It was just a typical picnic date at night.

But rather that it be me with a girl, this time, it's a guy so I guess that's what makes it a bit different.

"We're here." I said and he looked around the place. "We're at a park." He realised. The park was almost deserted, with a few people hanging around at this time.

"Take my hand." I said and held out my hand, he stared at it for a moment and slowly connected his hand with mine. I walked with him, heading towards our destination. "Aiden." He whispered and I turned to look at him. "People are looking." He said and I looked and noticed that. "Are you worried?" I asked. "I thought you didn't care what people thought of you." I reminded him and he sighed. "I.. It's not that.. I just.." He wanted to say and I held his shoulders, looking at him in the eyes. "Hey, Asa. Come on. They're just staring because they think you're cute." He blushed and I smirked. "And they're also jealous because I'm on a date with you–"

"Woah, okay." He stops me and grinned. "That's too much. I don't deserve that." He said and I chuckled. "Okay, let's get goin'." I grabbed his hand again and continued on our way.

"This is cute." He said once we arrived at the picnic place. "Thanks, I'm glad you like it." I smiled at him and he smiles back. We sat down and I began to unload the picnic basket.

"This is also really cliche, by the way. No offense or anything." He said and I pouted. "I couldn't think of anything for the date." I said and he smiles. "I'm not saying it's a bad idea, it's still valid. And cute, really cute." He said with a genuine smile across his pretty face.

"You're cute, too." I complimented and Asahi stopped midway from getting a sandwich. "That was kinda out of topic... but thank you." He gave me a half smile and munched on his sandwich. "You compliment me too much and... I feel awkward 'cause I'm not doing it too." He apologised and I sighed.

"It's fine, you don't have to do the same thing. I'm not just saying it for nothing. I really think you're attractive, Asa." I said and he stared at the food in his hand, thinking hard about something.

"You don't just like me because of the way I look, right? Because that's just–"

"God, no! I really do like you! Your looks are just a bonus but I like you because you're.. you." I stopped and looked at him but he just looked even more unconvinced. "Asahi?" I was worried.

Asahi looked at me and smiled, but it seemed kind of forced. "Listen, I don't know where to begin but I'm the type that likes to get to know a person before dating them and it usually takes a bit of time for me to open up to someone. We just met and you're nice but do you actually really wanna be with me? Or is this just going to be a phase?" He asked and my mouth gaped open the whole time, I think I was drooling because of shock.

It took at least 27 seconds for my brain to take all that in but,

"I've had feelings for you for weeks and that's a long time for me to still be attracted to someone so, no, these feelings will last, I'm sure."

We connected our hands together.

"Are you sure?" He asked, looking down at our intertwined hands.

"Yup. I wanna be yours." I bravely stated and he chuckled under his breath.

"Then I'll be yours too."
