Doughnuts

It's been days since that incident at Cesar's.

The past few days consisted of us doing our own things.

We haven't talked to eachother at all.

Jamal was still lying about going to football and spent most of his time running rolling around on the grass.

Ruby was busy trying not to fall in love with Olivia.

There were rumours going around about Monse and Cesar. Seems like they've confessed to eachother about how they really feel.

Good for them.

Dad told me it's 'bring your kid to work day' but I knew he was lying. I played along anyway and now we were at the precinct.

I sat at reception with my legs up on the desk.

Dad gave me a few tasks to do which I did really quickly.

I remember running around this place as a little girl and stealing people's badges.

"Alma" A voice calls disruptinh my thoughts.

I sit up to see Ryan walk in though the doors.

He held a box of doughnuts in his hand.

"Ryan" I smile motioning him to come sit beside me.

He pulls me into a hug before sitting.

"So I heard you and Cesar broke up" Ryan whispers.

I nod.

"You and Monse" I whisper.

"Yeah we broke up too. She's happy with Cesar and that's fine" Ryan whispers looking down at the ground.

It was not fine.

Monse broke his heart.

"I bought doughnuts" Ryan whispers pointing to the box.

"I didn't notice" I laugh causing him to smile.

"Thank you" I whisper pulling him in for one more hug.

"I should leave." Ryan smiled getting up.

"It's fine. You can stay if you like" I reply.

He shakes his head.

I pull him into a hug before watching him leave the building.

As I begin to reach a doughnut. Dad snatches the box.

"Ooh doughnuts" Dad squeals as he hands them out to his colleagues.

"Your favourite" He smile handing me the chocolate frosted doughnut.

"Thanks" I smile before stuffing the whole thing in my mouth.

Dad watches and let's out a laugh before noticing his colleague stood beside him.

"Alma" Dad whispers.
