It's been days after that fight with Cesar.

I don't know what's gotten into him. How could he be such a dick?

I wasn't in the mood to do anything.

"Hurry up Alma" Dad shouts.

I slowly walk down the stairs.

"You okay Alma?" Dad asks checking my temperature with the back of his hand.

"Yeah sorry. I'm just tired" I lie as I put on a fake smile.

We now arrived at the school gates.

I pull down the car sun visor and check my hair in the mirror.

"Have fun" He smile pulling me into a hug.

"You too dad" I whisper getting out the car.

I watch alone as his car drives off.

As I walk through the school gates Monse, Ruby and Jamal join me.

"Alma come here" Monse whispers pulling me into a hug. "It's all my fault"

"It's okay. You didn't do anything" I whisper.

"I'm gonna beat his ass" Ruby snaps.

Me and Monse couldn't help but let out a little laugh.

"What? I could totally beat him up. Right Jamal?" Ruby sighs.

"No comment" Jamal laughs looking down at Ruby.

"I hate you guys" Ruby sighs walking off for first period.

"We love you too" Monse smiles as we watch him walk off.

First few lessons went slow as usual. I could not help but fall asleep during those lessons.

"Alma" The teacher shouts causing me to jump.

The class begins to laugh as they watch me nearly fall off my chair.

"I'm awake" I sigh rubbing my eyes.

"What's the answer to this question?" The teacher asks pointing to the board.

I look down at my empty notebook.

"Eh" I sigh as I scratch my head.

The bell rings dismissing the class.

The class begins packing up and exiting the class.

"Saved by the bell" I smile at the teacher as I leave the classroom.

I meet up with my friends by the lockers.

I couldn't help but notice the random stares I was getting in the corridor.

Were my eye bags really this bad?

"We should run" Ruby whispers.
