• some days were better than others, but lately you'd been having the latter.

• your mind seemingly never stopped. first this thing, then it was another, and then it was 5 other things all at once.

• if you were on medication then cordelia would always ask if you took it. if you opted out of the medication route then she respected that as well.

• most people thought it was just not being able to focus, but it was so much more than that.

• it was also constant fidgeting, always needing something at your fingertips to mess with.

• cordelia had been kind enough to let you fiddle with the rings on her fingers, allowing you to randomly grab her hand at times and twirl her rings over and over again until it bored you.

• this didn't happen very often, but she also let you draw on her sometimes. usually this was at night and when you'd had a rough day and needed an outlet.

• whatever you imagined was quickly inked on her leg.

• she didn't mind having to wear pants over the next few days so other people didn't see.

• but along with fidgeting came the hyperactivity.

• and god there were days where cordelia almost wanted to use magic to keep you still.
up and down, here and there. if it wasn't one thing, it was 5 others.

• your hyperactive-aggressive days had to be both yours and cordelia's least favorite symptom of the disorder.

• because those were the days where you would interrupt anyone's conversation without a second thought, or your patience was thinner than a line of string.

• your attention span was even worse on those says, having been distracted by every little thought than ran through your mind.

• cordelia couldn't keep up with you, and your snappy comments didn't help. so eventually she would snap, telling you to control yourself.

• and that was your biggest pet peeve, she knew that.

• nothing bothered you more than when people told you to control yourself. if you could do that then you clearly wouldn't be labeled as an adult with ADHD.

• you'd would walk off, too irritated to feel like it was your fault.

• (of course cordelia knew it wasn't, her frustration just got the best of her.)

• she'd always apologize and make up to you in the best way she could. but you might give her a hard time because although you didn't show it much, sometimes your ADHD made you insecure.

• you hated how much harder it made learning

• or staying organized

• or keeping track of what you were supposed to be doing

• they were small insecurities, yes, but that didn't mean they didn't matter.

• there to save the day, though, cordelia would swoop in and reassure you that she didn't mind being an extra hand - just as long as it benefited you.

• on the flip side, sometimes cordelia didn't mind how hyper you got. she enjoyed how overly excited you would get about things. she liked the way your eyes lit up and how wide your smile would stretch.

• and cordelia was never bored when you were around because you quite literally always had something on your mind.

• even though you hated it at times, delia would never change it for the life of her.
