She snuck off

Ashton's POV

Me and Lola were lying on a beach just taking in the sun, I was aware that this was a dream but it didn't stop me from enjoying the peaceful scene.

"Ash ? Can you rub some sunscreen on my back ?" Lola asked. "I feel like I'm burning."

I chuckled but grabbed the sunscreen and applied a small coat to her back, I took my time slowly rubbing it in and I thought I heard her moan.

"Are you enjoying this angel ?" I asked chuckling as she slapped my hand away.

"Oh shut up !" She laughed. "It just feels nice is all."

I took that opportunity to tickle her sides and she started laughing and squealing as she tried to pull my hands off her.

"ASHTON ! Omg stop." She laughed but I wouldn't relent.

"But you look so adorable when you're being tickled !" I said, she was laughing so hard tears were rolling down her face.

"Ash please I can't breathe." She continued trying her hardest not to laugh anymore.

"Say you love me and I'll stop." I cooed.

"I love you !" She said.

I released her and she stopped a moment to catch her breath. She looked over at me and smiled.

"Did you just do that to get me to say 'I Love You ?'" Lola asked. "Because you could've just asked."

I pulled her into my lap and gave her a short kiss.

"Where's the fun in that Angel ?" I stated and she laughed.

Lola got up out of my lap and ran towards the water.

"Babe where you going ?" I chuckled going after her.

"Come and get me." She laughed. "If you can catch me, I'll give you something special."

Oh she was so getting it now ! I chased after her as she skipped toward the water and I quickly wrapped my arms around her waist pulling her close to me.

"You so didn't even try to win." I said.

Lola laughed and wrapped her arms around my neck, leaning our heads against each other's. It felt so peaceful and nice, I wanted her to have the world.

"Maybe I just wanted you to chase me, Daddy." She chuckled.

God, I loved it when she called me Daddy.

"Well, Daddy is very pleased with his little Angel." I purred, kissing her softly.

"Ashton. Ashton wake up !"

Soon the dream faded and I was shaken awake by that Detective Lady. I looked up at her confused and realized Lola was not in bed with me.

"Lola is gone." She said and I immediately panicked.

What happened ? Where is Lola ? Was she kidnapped or did she leave on her own ? I was freaking out on the inside.

"Where is she ?" I asked.

"I don't know, I went to check on her and saw you were the only one in here." Detective said pulling out her phone.

"Manning here, did you see Lola leave last night ?"

I got out of bed and looked around the entire place, hoping maybe Lola was just in another room but Manning was right. She was gone.

Detective Manning came downstairs and was shouting furiously into the phone.

"You saw a girl leave last night and you didn't think to stop her ?" She demanded. "We're suppose to be protecting her and now she could be in serious danger. Find out if anyone local saw where she went ASAP."

She hung up the phone and looked at me, I could see the concern on her face. She was worried sick about Lola I could tell. I honestly didn't think a cop would care about someone that they were being payed to protect.

"I think she went after Vega." She said. "Did she seem to be acting off to you last night ?"

I think back to just realize she was really upset about something. She was on her phone on the roof and whoever she was texting certainly rattled her. God why didn't I think to ask her about that ?

"She was texting someone and she was really upset afterwards but I let it go because I didn't want to upset her anymore than she already was." I replied. "Do you think it was him ?"

"Can't be sure without her phone. I'll attempt to trace her it but our best bet is to go looking for her. She couldn't have gotten far on foot." She said grabbing her gun and badge.

She rushed to the door and looked at me expectingly.

"You coming ?" She asked and I quickly broke out of my trance and followed her out the door.

I really hope Lola is okay.
