Today was a sad day for you to move to a different country leaving your friends and family members. Your best friend Paige was helping you pack your things and you made a promise to come back during the winter. Because in the winter you and your best friend would go sledding, make a snowman, snow angels, and drink hot chocolate.
"I'm going to miss you Y/N," Paige said.
"Me too. But we can still video chat if we ever get a chance." You reassured.
"That's the last box. Come on let's get a move on Y/N." Your dad said.
"Goodbye Y/N."
"Bye Paige."
You got inside of the vehicle with your parents as they road off as you look one last time at your house. You were going to miss home but you'll come back eventually to see Paige and your other friends again.
During the road trip, you slept, played games, and read books to entertain you while you're in the car.
"Ah, don't be so sad Y/N. I'm sure you'll meet someone and make lots of new friends." Your mother assured.
"I know. But...what if they don't like me?" You worried.
"Who cares if they don't like you? Your different and so are they, sweetie." Your dad said.
'Maybe dad is right. I might someone that is really friendly and could cheer me up so that I won't feel homesick.' You thought.
