TW: Bullying, minor injuries,
Virgil's POV

I sighed and opened my eyes, my locker door already open. I scanned the shelves and pushed my things onto the metal sheets, flinching as someone tapped my shoulder. I put on a blank, pre-made face and spun around. "Hey!" I narrowed my eyes. "What." I examined the person and realized it was the guy I made eye contact with. "I noticed you were lonely." I slammed my locker. "So? I don't want friends." I snarled, and realized my eyes were glowing brightly. I noticed I was about to break, causing my teeth to melt into fangs. The boy yelped and scurried away to a duo standing by a classroom door. I closed my eyes and exhaled, calming down. My eyes still had a purple spark, but they were no longer glowing. I relaxed as I wasn't about to break. I opened my eyes again, hearing quick footsteps walking towards me. "Roman! No!" I felt someone grab my arm, and I flinched in pain, sighing as I was dragged to the group. "Why does your arm hurt..?" I rolled my eyes and crossed my scarred, bleeding arms across my chest, gripping my sleeve cuffs tightly. "Doesn't matter," I growled quietly. "Oh, calm down emo nightmare." I snorted and released my sleeves, covering my mouth as I laughed. "What's so- why are your arms bleeding?" I quickly silenced myself, a scowl on my face as I gripped my sleeves again, my muscles tightening as I tried not to panic. "Why would a bunch of strangers care?" I snapped, my eyes starting to glow again. I wrapped my hand around a stone resting against my chest, feeling it grow freezing cold. "Because- EEEK!" I tensed at the loud noise, my eyes glowing a dead looking purple. I grabbed a black cloth from my pocket and wrapped it around my eyes. "Now I understand why animals always have those on hand...." I glanced at where the voice came from, and quickly stepped back. "Hey! Don't run away from us." I glared at the one who spoke this time. I took in his red-brown hair and light green eyes, which I saw anger in. I quickly crouched in fear from his gaze. I scanned his prince-like clothing and whimpered quietly. "Hey. It's okay." My eye bandage glowed lilac and flowed off me, folding and landing in my open palm. I grabbed it and tucked it in my pocket.

"You're a freak." I flinched at this and glanced beside me, seeing a person with narrowed, one yellow, one brown eye and light yellow-green scales crisscrossing a side of his face. "You're not much better yourself, Deceit!" I flinched as he grabbed my arm and held me above the ground. He slammed me against the wall and I barely even flinched, noticing rapid steps running away. I felt a punch to my face and a kick to my gut. I saw another person walk over and start beating me up until I fell to the ground, winded.
Nothing I wasn't used too. I took in choppy breaths and grinded -YOU WILL NOT GIVE UP WITH THAT, HUH GRAMMARLY?! Anyways- my jaw. I sighed and stood up, examining my body. I would be fine.

Glancing around the almost-empty hall, I heard the bell ring and turned to a nurse. "You okay? Do you think you'll need to go home?" I furiously shook my head. "I'll never need to go home. It's worse....." I whispered the ending, but I guess they still heard it, as they rested their hand on my shoulder. I bit my lip and wiped away the blood that trickled from it. Sighing, I grabbed my schedule from my pocket. I had art next. At least it was something I was 'okay' at. I thought I was horrible, but my opinion doesn't matter. I don't matter.
