During class, Usagi got all the sympathy from her future daughter. Fortunately, instead of the blonde Odango, Miss Sakurada did not punish Kousagi for forgetting to do her homework (it was her first day of school anyway) and for falling asleep (this was because Usagi snored much louder than the dark pink bun head and thus she did not attract the teacher's attention).
In addition, Miss Sakurada took pity on her father not remembering his life and even recommended a friend of hers who was a psychologist. Just in case she wants to talk about her special situation.
When the school bell rang during the lunch break, Kousagi sighed deeply and decided to take a walk in the school yard to find something to eat. After a while, her stomach growled ominously. She just didn't know that food should be brought to school when she saw all the other students unpacking their bento boxes.
‚I wish I was home again. There I would have my own cook who serves the best meals as soon as I snap my finger.'
A conversation behind her back got Kousagi out of her thoughts.
"Come on, don't be shy. Just try. You know I'm a master of fried shrimp tails."
A delicious fragrance surrounded the pink odango and she held up her nose and smelled her favorite dish. Looking for the source, she found Naru and Umino talking in the grass and feeding each other with great joy. At the sight of the deliciously draped bento box, Kousagi's mouth watered. When she locked eyes with the couple, Naru waved her over.
„Hey Mina! Ahhh I see, no one has told you that they don't serve lunch at school." the dark red haired girl concluded. Once Kousagi reached them she settled herself next to Naru who pulled out her box and offered its content by smiling honestly.
„Here, help yourself, please. Umino brought so much stuff today, it will last for at least three of us."
Enchanted by her friendliness she took a couple of fried shrimp tails and inhaled them to Uminos utmost surprise.
„That is weird" he said „if I didn't know better I would say you are related to Tsukino Usagi. You have exactly the same behavior when it comes down to food."
Naru giggled at his comment and added „Well, you see the buns and pigtails are missing. Apart from this I fully agree with Umino. I had a vague feeling since you came into our class this morning that I should know you somehow."
Kousagi took a long look at Naru while she was chewing an Onigiri. She swallowed the rice ball and admitted carefully
„Well, speaking of her, I bumped into Usagi this morning when I went to school. From the first moment I met her she was nice to me and I instantly liked her. She seems to be a caring person who has a very good heart."
Naru and Umino smiled back warmly and let themselves gladly distract from their original assumption.
„You have to know, she is my best friend. She has saved me many times when I needed her help and I honestly cannot think of anybody else who is able to make friends so easily and always believes in the good of people." Naru raved whilst Umino nodded eagerly in agreement.
‚Ha, she is way more!' Kousagi dreamed away and thought back to the bedtime stories her father used to tell her about Sailor Moon rescuing the whole world again and again.
„Yeah, particularly when she wants to heal all the youmas. Definitely a nice trait of her!" She blurred out without thinking and immediately shut her mouth with her hands when two dumbfounded faces starred back at her.
