It had taken more than the estimated time to reach the entrance of the theatre. Way more! However, Kousagi was entitled to gain valuable information by the four magical girls who stood right behind her in the queue.
First of all, she knew now all the civilian names of the Sailor Senshi and could match every one to each scout properly. The second was the fact that apparently they remembered their past life in this lifetime. Thirdly, they were friends with her mother and also were aware of that Mamoru obviously was completely clueless concerning his super hero alter ego. Last but not least, fourthly: They didn't enjoy queuing at all!
Ray seemed to complain every second minute how awful it would be to waste her precious time with waiting here. Kousagi didn't remember Mars to be this impatient. She was always very calmed and kind to her.
Minako was rather chatty and had used incorrect idioms at least four times throughout the last hour. She had never seen Venus that outgoing and speaking more than three sentences at once.
Makoto tried to shorten the time by telling really funny jokes. Jupiter always had been very serious to Kousagi and didn't possess any kind of humor.
Amy was reading her book and commented to the girls chat every now and then while she devoted her attention to the written pages in her hands. Mercury never ever had any book in her hands when she was in charge of protecting the palace or talking to somebody.
General speaking, all of them behaved like ordinary teenager girls and somehow the dark pink haired girl envied them for this gift.
'They have the possibility to spend such a normal life in this time. I wish I could have the same sometimes, without all this royal stuff. It must be great when no pressure lies onto your shoulders and when no one expects you to do always the appropriate things.'
Kousagi immediately recognized her self-pity and slapped her head mentally. 'What am I doing here? I have been granted a great opportunity to visit all of them and I even can support my father to remember his eternal love. I should be more grateful!'
When Kousagi switched back to reality she stood directly in front of the entrance and someone started to push her in.
"Hey, what are you waiting for? Come on!" Ray shouted behind her. Kousagi stumbled in surprise but started to walk inwards as been told. When she passed through the doors, she recognized a beeping and heard the girls behind her quietly talking to each other. It was rather a mumble so she hardly could understand anything. She turned around and was confronted with four very concerned faces. The senshi ignored the pink bun head and rushed past her, further into the building.
Puzzled by this instant action Kousagi cleared her throat and eventually decided to follow them at a reasonable distance. It was an incredible annoying speed they took and after a few seconds they were out of sight.
„Well, everything you can do, I can do better!"
Kousagi pouted, having a determined expression written on her face. She pulled out her magical white Swiss Army knife and threw it up in the air by shouting "Artemis T - Transform!"
With a loud bang the white cat face ball dissolved into bright light and once the smoke had disappeared, little pink glasses laid on the ground, next to a white super mini computer.
She grabbed both, put on the glasses and started typing into the device hectically. Finally she received a signal.
„Right, with 100% certainty they shall be... there." Kousagi pointed at a small tunnel and without hesitation she started to run like the wind. After a few moments she reached a big hall. Apparently the fight had just finished. She spotted a group of five Sailor Scouts, looking lugubriously over to Mamoru who stood on the other side of the hall, completely lost and with an astonished expression on his face. He addressed the Sailor team
„Who the heck are you and what sort of magic was that?!"
It slightly scared him that the girls who were supposed to stay in his dreams, suddenly had become reality. Or was this just another illusion of this VR theatre?!
With a blink of an eye they disappeared. Instead he spotted Kousagi who stood slightly dumb at the entrance, her big sky blue eyes stared through pink glasses at him. Since there had been a lot of strange things happened to him lately, mainly including a bunch of crazy girls - some of them obviously doing magical things- Mamoru decided to blame the theatre for the poor show. He denied to think further on this. He just wanted to live a normal, ordinary life without too much turbulences concerning certain pink and blonde odangos.
„Well" he directed Kousagi „you found me!"
She took off the glasses and gave him a punitive look.
"So, did you have fun without me?!" Kousagi growled and crossed her arms „I have seen you talking to this obscure couple in front of the theatre. What do they want from you anyway?"
„You mean Natsumi and Seijuro? They are siblings and go to the same school as Usagi." Mamoru shrugged innocently and started to walk towards the exit.
„Mhmm, just...just stay away from them okay? I don't like them, they are not good for you. I think they are dangerous." Kousagi recommended with a serious face while she followed him.
Mamoru was stunned but then started to burst out into laughing „Haha, you are not my baby sitter, Kousagi." With a smirk onto his face he continued "I can take care of myself very well, don't worry." He pointed at a screen showing a five digit number while they were about to leave the building. „That's the highest score of today!" He eyed her meaningfully. "Guess who hit it?!"
„Mamoru, believe me. I am a better baby sitter than you are!" She groaned and gave him a huffed glance in return.
„I'll take that bet!" His smirk grew wider into a deep grin. „Anyway, how was queueing?"
„Well, I got the slight impression that most of the people are not very fond of waiting for hours. I made some nice encounters though. There were four girls right behind me which were at my age. Their names were Amy, Ray, Makoto and Minako. They seem to be friends with your Usagi." When Mamoru gave her a questioning look, Kousagi simply ignored him and went on „I wonder to know where they go normally."
„If you speak of four fairly different, chatty girls and their two cats which always hang around with them, then you will meet this obscure group certainly at Motoki's Game Crown Center. It's Odangos favorite free time place." For whatever reason he was supposed to mention this last bit.
„Oh really?! Ahhh then let's go there tomorrow again. Motoki is such a hun...humorous and cheerful person!" The pink haired teenager's face colour was now equal to a ripe tomato.
„Sorry but I can't. I have to work for the next couple of days. You'll have to spend some time by yourself then."
„Ahh bummer!" Kousagi was disappointed and tried to think of an appropriate solution to substitute her father in the meantime. „Err, Mamoru? You don't know the school Usagi goes to, do you?"
„I was wondering this anyway, strange pink haired girl with a white cat ball and a golden star locket!" He replied while they were approaching his apartment complex. „Don't you visit any educational institution where you come from?"
She looked back at him in surprise. „Where I come from? Well, I get private lessons at home. I am not allowed to go to a public school."
Mamoru gaped at her. „How come? I mean, it is certainly most important to go to school and thus, have fellow pupils around you in order to live a normal and happy life. Are your parents not aware of this undeniable fact?" When he saw her gapping at him back he added „Furthermore, education is the key to everything such as prosperity or self realization. Seriously, I can hardly think of anything more important than education."
After the shock subsided Kousagi snorted at him "Well Chiba Mamoru, that is way nice to hear from you in person but to my mind you left out something fairly more important in this world.
He was slightly fed up with this whole discussion since Kousagi started to question his principles.
„Which is?"
Kousagi made a solemnly face and while she was rolling her eyes she returned
„Well, it's love of course. Love is the key to everything."
