Weak (On Hiatus)

Chapter eleven: Arguments

Third person's POV:

The blonde celestial mage just stared and smiled awkwardly to her fellow guild mates. She felt awkward and she felt like a mistake.

The hall was dead silent, no one dared to speak up after Lucy's greeting to Natsu.

Lucy clenched her fists as she continued staring. She made her final decision, and it was hard. She knew she couldn't stay, because if she did, she'll just bring everyone down and she'll just feel much worst if she continued staying.

Lucy wanted to run. Run to the master's quarters that is. She just wanted to get everything over with and leave the place.

The silence in the hall was practically suffocating her. It was burning her eyes with tears. But she couldn't cry in front of them now. Lucy felt like it would be wrong to cry in front of them, after "leaving" them and leaving them 'that' letter. She didn't know what to do, nor did her guild mates. But He broke the silence... Natsu broke the silence.

"Hi...?" Lucy stood there, silent. From the way Natsu said 'Hi' he sounded... Angry. "Is that all you can say?"

Lucy couldn't take anymore of this, she knew that if she stayed any longer she would really break down to tears, showing an even weaker side of herself. But she knew that if she cried, the situation would get worse... so she did the only thing she could do... to answer back.

"W-what do you want me to say Natsu?" Her voice almost cracked, almost. 'Don't show them your even weaker side Lucy, you can't cry nor turn back now...' Lucy reminded herself. She breathed in and out, then continued, "You want me to say sorry for leaving on such a short notice?" 'Can't trun back now' "Look Na-" She was cut off by Natsu.

He hugged her.

Natsu hugged Lucy.

Again.

Lucy stiffened, she thought that if she moved, the tears that were forming in her eyes were going to fall. She knew couldn't show her weak side, or weaker side. She was already weak to begin with and what more would her guild mates think of her if she were to cry right in front of them now?

Lucy clenched her fists. She stopped herself from hugging Natsu back, and she thought of that as one step forward of becoming stronger.

"Step One:Resist the temptation. Be tough, not soft." She once read in a book.

She was tempted to hug Natsu back, but if she did that, that would be another sign of weakness. So she didn't, instead, she mustered up courage... the courage to do something unbelievable.

With all her might, Lucy pushed Natsu away, while saying the words she'd never thought she would seriously say to him, "Stay away from me, freak!" she exclaimed.

Everyone was shocked, even Lucy herself! But the most effected would have been... Natsu.
