Chapter Six: Replacement?

Soon you, Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, and Anakin stand infront of the coucil. Qui-Gon stands in the middle with Anakin next to him while you and Obi-Wan stand next to each other a couple steps back.

"The Force is strong with him." Master Ki-adi states.

"He's to be trained, then?" Qui-Gon asks.

You watch the council members look to one another.

"No. He will not be trained." Master Windu

You look down at a crestfallen Anakin who stares at Master Windu.

"He is too old." Master Windu adds.

"He is the chosen one... you must see it." Qui-Gon insist. Here we go again...

"Clouded, this boy's future is." Master Yoda says.

"I will train him, then. I take Anakin as my Padawan learner." Qui-Gon says placing his hands on Anakin's shoulder. You and Obi-Wan look at him in suprise. Your eyebrows furrow in confusion.

"Two apprentices, you have, Qui-Gon. Impossible, to take on a third." Master Yoda states.

"The code forbids it." Master Windu states.

"They are ready..." Qui-Gon says and Obi-Wan rushes forward.

"I am ready to face the trials." Obi-Wan says as you stay where you were and look down at your feet.

"And you, Padawan (L/n)?" Master Windu asks.

You nod your head, "Yes sir."

"Our own council we will keep on who is ready." Master Yoda says.

"They are both headstrong and have much to learn of the living Force, but they are capable. There is little more they can learn from me." Qui-Gon says. As honored as you are, you were a little hurt to hear your Master attempt to get rid of you so he can have a new Padawan. You could felt tears brim your eyes, were you seriously that much of a burden.

"Young Skywalker's fate will be decided later." Master Yoda says.

"Now is not the time for this... the Senate is voting for a new Supreme Chancellor and Queen Amidala is returning home, which will put pressure on the Federation, and could widen the confrontation." Master Windu says.

"And draw out the Queen's attacker." Ki-Adi adds on.

"Go with the Queen to Naboo and discover the identity of the dark warrior. That is the clue we need to unravel this mystery of the Sith." Master Windu orders.

"May the Force be with you." Master Yoda says.

You remain composure until you were out of the room. You looked at your feet then stormed off down the halls of the temple with tears filling your eyes. You still held your chin up even though you were hurt.

"(Y/n), where are you going?" Qui-Gon asked. You didn't reply, you just kept walking to clear your head.

Later you and Anakin sit in front of Artoo. You don't say anything, but sit there sulking in silence. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon walk off of the ship and stop in front of you and Anakin.

"It is not disrespect, Master, it is the truth." Obi-Wan says blankly.

"From your point of view...." Qui-Gon says. But Obi-Wan cut him off. He knew how hurt you were, and he wanted to stick up for you.

"The boy is dangerous... they all sense it. Why can't you?" Obi-Wan asks. You and Anakin hear all of this, but you look down as Anakin looks at them.
