As tired as I was, I didn't sleep a wink. I sat up all night waiting for Severus to come back.
He didn't return until after the sun was up.
"What happened?" I asked, pulling him into my room. He was pale and disheveled, a look that worried me. I made him sit on my bed, trying to figure out what had happened after he had left.
Severus looked up at me with a dark expression, gripping my hand in a vicelike grip. I winced, but he didn't let go.
"If I tell you," He said in a quiet tone, "There is no going back. You will be pulled into something I would rather you not be a part of."
"Tell me," I pleaded, kissing him as though that would help my point.
Catching my face in his hands, he replied, "I'll tell you. But first, make me forget."
