Kiara and her mother have spent the night in a cave on the other side of the pridelands. Her mother had just caught a gazelle and they are eating it. Not a single word has been said since her mother brought it in after hunting it down. Kiara thought long and hard all night about the situation her family was in. She had noticed the difference in the way she was treated compared to Kion, yet she did not do anything about it. She realised how much emotional pain he could have been in.Nala thought long and hard too. How she trusted Simba and how much he had changed over the years. She had now realised he had turned. Turned into a careless selfish monster. Maybe that was a bit much, to call him a monster because deep down she knew he wasn't a monster and all it takes is change. She hasn't given up on Simba and hopefully never will. Though now she is having different thoughts, was any of this her fault? She had looked after Kion most of the time and she always tried to spend family time with him but he was always on patrol. He was only back at pride rock when it started to go dark and by then everybody was asleep. Simba has overworked Kion to protect his kingdom. And she never noticed. Never noticed how sad he would become. Never noticed how jealous he was made to feel and never noticed how spiteful her mate and king was being. She just let it happen and now Kion hates her. Her eyes started glistening with tears in the moonlight coming through the entrance of the cave as she was sat there watching her daughter feast. She broke down uncontrollably in front of her daughter. "Am I a bad m-mother?" She asked whilst lightly sobbing crouching down. Kiara looked up at her mother full of worry and concern. "I'm so sorry for crying in front of you I'm supposed to be s-setting a an example". Kiara swallowed the food she was chewing and ran over to her mother nuzzling into her.
"You are the best mother anyone can ever ask for". Kiara said as she departed from the nuzzle. They both were eye to eye both eyes contained tears of sadness. "Don't ever doubt yourself". Nala put her her head in her Kiaras.
"We will get through this, and your farther will come around. B-but right now we". Nala took a pause. "Stay away from him". Kiara's face got a bit serious.
"I completely understand mother, he is not himself. He's been treating me badly the past few months". She admitted. "I was too scared to tell you because I didn't want to cause an argument between you two" Kiara then realised she shouldn't have said that, her mother is going to feel guilty again. She broke down again.
"I-I didn't even notice that too, I'm s-so sorry". Kiara has never in her life seen her mother crying so she was surprised and felt sorry for her. She must be blaming all this on herself, when in reality it was her farther.
"It's not your fau-". Suddenly, the smell changed in the atmosphere. Someone was approaching very familiar. Both Kiara and Nala looked at each other in shock as their eyes widened.
"There you both are". Nala stood up and backed up in fear. Kiara on the over hand had a displeased face on as she stared at her farther entering the cave. "Why don't we all stop being silly and come home". He said smiling as Kiara scoffed.
"Don't you get it? We don't want to come home because of what you did!" Simba's facial expression changed into a hurtful one as Kiara tried to protect herself and her mother.
"For scratching Kion? He deserved it, how could anybody betray their own farther?" He said as his mission to get his mate and daughter back home became another argument.
"There are many reasons why. Because you've been a horrible farther and a horrible mate!" She said with the most disgusted tone of voice you can think of. Her farther growled slightly as he tried to argue his point again.
"I am not a horrible farther. I'm the one who gives you royal lessons, give you a place to sleep, give you food and spend time wit-"
"I MEAN KION, you force him to work 9 hours a day, never spend time with him and all you give him is grief and punishment". Kiara bellowed. Nala still stood there frozen watching it all go down her face plastered with shock. Simba now growled fully as he approached his daughter with pace.
"Don't you EVER talk to me like that!" He was now close to her as he raised a paw at the cub in front of him. Kiara's face became worried and scared. Nala sprang to her athletic legs and sprinted towards them and pounced at Simba. As she made contact in the air with him she roared. They both landed on the other side of the cave now wrestling frantically. The agile lioness was on top of the stronger male below but she was kicked with his hind legs and now they were back fighting. Multiple growls filled the room as Kiara watched in absolute fear in the same state her mother was in a couple of minutes prior.
"KIARA RUN". Her mother bellowed whilst struggling to compete with her mate's brutal strength. Kiara decided her mother was right, she should run. She ran to the exit, she looked back one more time to see Simba on top of Nala. She then sprinted towards the outlands to run from the danger which was her farther. She really wanted to help her mother but she was just a cub and helpless.
I don't actually know if any of you like this plot so far but I think it's ok considering my imagination. If u do like it,can you let me know? it will help a lot. Anyway, I've never been so bored in my life, that's why I'm doing these pointless author notes for no reason. I'm gonna go and play Xbox so you don't have to read me rant about this book.
