Nala's Victory and loss

[In the cave]

Simba has Nala pinned to the floor baring his razor sharp teeth at his mate. She looked up at him, his face full of hate and evil. She almost gave up as she knew she was not escaping the male's grasp. She slowly lowered her eye brows.

"Go on Simba, KILL ME!" she got in his face so close it was all most touching. She could feel the heavy breathing of him. "You got a good shot so DO IT! GO FOR THE THROUT. Or are you gonna claw my eye out like you almost did to KION!". She spat. Simba's facial expression softened and it showed a slight bit of guilt. She could feel his grasp loosen up. That's how Nala knew her intimidation had worked. With all her might she had pushed him of her and pinned him. She got close to his shocked face again. "You can't can you? because you still love me and I still love you but I don't when your acting like this. Now someone needs to be a parent to those cubs so I'm going to find them and you are not to follow me, do I make myself clear?". Simba slowly nodded his head but his body was still frozen in shock. "Good". She got off him and headed for the exit. She looked back to see him still frozen, she could not believe she just did that because she was not that type of character. When she got out of the den, she let out a huge sigh of relief and took in a huge load of air through her nostrils, Kiara scent was still strong she started to track her down.  She walked away with nothing but determination to find her cubs and hopefully make amends with Kion.

[With Kiara]

It was now pitch black and it was cold. Kiara has just ran from her fighting mum and dad, and she was walking along the dark savanna. She is still trying to take in what just happened and is trying to keep herself as calm as possible. Now she has to decide her next move, does she go back to help her mum? Or does she listen to her, which is to hide and wait until comes and finds her? But what if she didn't win? Her heart is racing and she constantly looks behind her for danger, she is deciding on whether to go back but she is a cub. She couldn't do anything against a 400lbs lion. Her mother is smart and if she tells her to run it's probably the best thing to do.

By now she was incredibly tired because it was late at night and she needed sleep. She decided she couldn't continue until she had rest. Whilst scanning the area for a place to sleep she spots something in the dark, something with eyes and something that moves. This makes her heart rate increase even faster. Deciding it might just be a random animal she continues walking, shivering from the cold winds hitting her all the sudden. She was then hit with a scent which puts her in fear, hyenas! As soon as she starts to run, she hears the loud laughing of Janja and his friends. Now without someone to protect her she was fearful for her life because she knew Janja will try to kill her because he has tried before. By now her body had next to no energy and the only thing keeping her running is adrenaline, whereas the hyenas had far much more energy and it was clear because they were gaining on her. Kiara started to pant and was now becoming tired, because of this she gradually began to slow down. Janja was almost within pouncing distance of her. He had a fat smirk on his face as did his two friends not to far behind him.

"Just give up cub! You ain't getting away!" He called. She then looked behind her to see the hyena right on her tail. A splash of water indicated she had ran straight into a watering hole, a pretty big one. Her body was in shock and now fully submerged under water she realised she may not be faster than them at running but she could be faster at swimming, this was her only chance at living. With all of her might she had swam as fast as she could. Behind her the three hyenas were struggling to keep up. Eventually they all stopped in the middle of the watering hole panting for oxygen. They all saw Kiara her out from the other side and booking it towards the outlands. Her heart was thumping so fast as she ran into the outlands. Not seeing the big hill leading into the outlands, she rolled down it hitting her head on the way down.
