"I'm pregnant."
The shock of the news broadcasted across Isabelle's face. More tears rolled down my face. She hated me. I had seen movies like this where teenage girls got pregnant and their boyfriends moms hate them after, and then tell them to put the baby up for adoption.
"Mom, are you okay?" Ben asks with precaution.
"Ash are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, baby hormones. Are you?", I ask cautiously.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little shocked, it's not everyday people tell me that I'm going to be a grandmother. That is if you are going to keep it?"
"I'm not getting an abortion, and we aren't sure about what to do when it's born."
"I will support you both throughout it all, but..."
"What's wrong mom?" Ben says, looking at me quickly.
"People at school, the mall, football, anywhere, they are going to make fun of you and tease you. They aren't going to understand what it's like. The same thing happened when I was a kid. The most popular girl in school got pregnant. She was laughed and ridiculed at for 9 months and longer. It's not going to be easy."
Ben just looked lost.
"I know that people will laugh, but I'll be alright. My friends will support me. I know they will."
Isabelle looked sceptical. I smiled a teary smile at Isabelle. She got up and gave me a hug. I hugged her back, and cried into her shoulder. She rested her head on mine and I felt her tear roll onto my head. My phone rang and Ben picked it up.
"Ash, it's Chloe."
"I will take that, thanks Ben, and thank you Isabelle."
I take my phone from Ben and walk down the stairs and go sit in my car.
"Hey Chloe? What's up?"
