A couple of days had passed since the whole 'Dreams' topic had been put out there. Alex and I where practising a scene and chatting over a water break.
"So a singer huh?" He asks me. I dropped my water bottle. He smirks into his water.
"Keep your voice down." I say. I look at him for an explanation.
"You weren't exactly quiet in gym." I kick myself for explaining to Lucy so loudly.
"Well what do you want to be?" I question.
"Same. Don't tell anybody though. What song are you singing?" I blush.
"Rockstar, from Glee." An idea drops into my head.
"We should do a duet." I state. Alex's eyebrows jump into his hair. He looks surprised.
"Sure. It's a good song. When do you want to rehearse?"
"You wanna rehearse this afternoon?" I ask.
"Sure, I'll book the auditorium."
------
"I was thinking that you could play guitar and I could play drums." Alex says when I walk into the auditorium after school. I look hesitant.
"Your really good." I smile and nod.
"I didn't know you could play drums." I say, walking up the stairs, nursing my bump. I put my bag next to the piano, and lean against the piano.
"I can play the drums, guitar, ukulele, saxophone, trumpet, flute, harmonica and violin." He says with a smirk.
"That's impressive. What is it with you theatre people and being able to play any instrument under the sun? I mean Lucy can play a bunch of instruments as well, and so can Sam, Kate and Elle." I ask, generally curious.
"Well, it's like how cheerleaders can all do flips, and cartwheels, and handsprings." He puts it into context that I can understand.
"Well I can't do those at the moment, but I get you." I grab the guitar and start playing. He sits at the drums and starts as well.
