"Ate Rem," Meghan called one of yayas who was busy preparing her breakfast on the table. Her other yaya, Annie, was also preparing her coffee. She was already sitting on the dining chair. It was 6 in the morning at mamayang 7:30 ay aalis siya para pumunta sa city hall.
"Yes, Ma'am?"
"Iyong bodyguard po," She asked, curious, "Nasaan?"
"Nasa labas pa rin po, Ma'am, nakabantay," Remi answered her. Napataas naman siya ng kilay. She thanked Annie after making her coffee. Kahit gusto man niya tulungan ang mga ito sa paghahanda ng agahan, the doctor requested her not to do any straining activity yet.
"Hindi siya natulog?"
"Parang hindi nga po, Ma'am, eh," Annie was the one who answered. Honestly, the two women were already close to her, "'Nung gumising ako ng alas-kwarto ng madaling araw, nandoon pa rin po siya sa labas, nakatayo. Pero iyong suot po niya, iba na, hindi ko nga alam kung paano nakapagbihis o kung nakaligo ba."
Natahimik naman si Meghan sa sinabi nito. Last night, she was so pissed off at the man because of being rude and too stiff to her - like he has a problem towards her. She just wanted to say na hindi nito kailangan tumayo sa labas ng bente-kwatro oras. He's human and he needs to rest, even for a little bit. Tutal, may dalawang security guard naman siya sa gate ng bahay niya. She still owed him her life.
"Inaya niyo po ba mag-agahan, Ate?" She asked as she started to eat.
"Sinubukan po namin, Ma'am pero hindi po kami pinansin eh. Parang masungit pa po. Ma'am, sigurado po ba kayo na siya ang magiging bodyguard niyo?"
Napabuntong-hininga na lang siya.
"Pakipuntahan po siya sa labas, Ate Annie. Pakisabi na kakain na siya dahil aalis ako. Pupunta ako sa opisina ko sa munisipyo," Aniya sa mga ito.
"Pero Ma'am, baka hindi po kami pansinin ulit..."
"Pakisabi na kung hindi siya kakain, tatawagan ko si Dad at isusumbong siya. Paki-paalala po sa kanya na presidente po ng bansa natin ang ama ko at ako naman ang mayor dito. Kailangan niyang sumunod sa 'min."
Kaagad naman lumabas ang yaya niya. Pagkatapos ng ilang segundo ay nakabuntot na rito ang bagong bodyguard niya. Lt. Velasco was creasing his forehead at her. Mukhang hindi nito nagustuhan ang pinasasabi niya kay Annie. And her two helpers were right, kung kahapon ay naka-suit ito, ngayon naman ay nakabarong-tagalog na ang lalake. His muscular built was even more prominent with his attire, especially his biceps.
"Kumain ka na," She told him habang nakataas ang kilay niya rito, "Maraming nilutong almusal sina Ate. Hindi ko mauubos lahat 'to."
"I am full, thank you," Mabilis na sabi nito.
"And what did you eat?"
"It's none of your concern, Ma'am. I am here to give you security, not for anything else. That is the protocol."
Imbis na tumahimik ay naiinis na naman siya sa sinagot nito, "I am the mayor of this city and you're under my supervision. You're going to answer properly my questions. Do you understand, Lieutenant Velasco?"
Nakipagtagisan naman ng mga tingin silang dalawa.
"I am going back to my post, Ma'am. I'll be the one driving you to the city hall," Pagkatapos ay kaagad din siya nitong tinalikuran at lumabas ulit ng bahay.

The whole travel was deafening. Meghan was sitting on the backseat while her so-called bodyguard was the one driving. Nang pumasok siya so kotse ay hindi ito kumikibo at nakaconcentrate lang sa pagmamaneho. While her, she's still pissed at his uncalled attitude
