Meghan hurriedly went to their university elevator after parking her car. She was already late for her masters' class during that time and she knows how strict her professor regarding tardiness.

Nang bumukas iyon, kaagad siyang sumakay. There were only two of them inside, one man who was also wearing civilian attire. Sa pagkaalala niya, only law, masters and PhD students ang walang university uniform, that's why they're wearing civilian.

"Which floor?" Biglang tanong ng lalake. He was near to the elevator buttons.

"Uhm," She awkwardly responded, "Fifth floor," She doesn't know the guy but he looked familiar.

He immediately pushed number 5 button.

"Doing masters?"

She nodded.

She studied masters in preparation for her in joining politics. Years from now, she had this hunch she'll join just like her dad.

Napansin naman ni Meghan na nakapindot 'yung 4th floor. She knows 4th floor is where law students usually have their classes. Nasa 5th floor naman ang mga masters and PhD.

So the guy must be a law student...

Dumating na rin sila sa 4th floor. The elevator opened. But before the guy could even walk out from it, nilingon siya nito. He grinned and she knew his grin meant something different.

"Nice to meet you, Meghan," He suddenly told her before finally going out from the elevator. He knows her name... How?

Napakunot-noo na lang siya.

Meghan was crying so hard as she looked her face into the mirror. There wwre bruises all over her face. She couldn't anymore recognize her own self. Her lips were swelling. Dark circles are starting to show around her eyes. She gulped as she put an ointment on her lips. She flinched because of the pain.

Earlier, it wasn't even sunrise, she and Stefan got into a fight. She didn't even know how it started... she could just remember her husband coming home late and she woke up. Then he started shouting, he was enraged. Just after a minute, he slapped her, so hard that she was almost thrown into the wall. It wasn't only that, he punched her on her face, on her stomach... every inch of her body was in pain because of him.

She didn't understand why she married a monster... before they got married, everything was okay...

But shits started when they married...

No, when he forced her into marrying him.

Sometimes, she wished she could die...

"What are you doing, Meghan?"

She flinched when she heard his voice.

Nakaramdam naman siya ng mga yapak papunta sa likod niyo. She was starting to get scared again. She felt him touching her shoulder. Bigla siya nitong pinaharap.
