Naghihintay lang si Meghan matapos ang naunang estudyante na nagcheck-out ng libro sa library. It was already late at night when she decided to borrow a book from the lib. Gagamitin niya kasi iyon as reference para sa isang subject ng masters' class niya, next week kasi ay inassign silang magreporting.
Meghan was merely observing the student while talking to the library staff. Nang mapansin niyang hiningi ng staff ang library card ng estudyante, she immediately searched her bag. Shit. She forgot to bring her lib card. Hindi open ang university lib bukas dahil linggo. Kailangan niyang mahiram ang librong iyon.
When the other student was done, it was noe her turn to checkout a book. Binigay naman niya kaagad sa staff ang hihiramin niyang libro.
"Miss, library card niyo po."
She bit ber lip, embarrassed, "Uhm, naiwan ko kasi... pwede pa rin ba ako makacheckout? Like ililista ko na lang, I promise, babalik ako dito sa Monday para i-sauli ang book at marecord sa lib card ko," She tried to convince the staff.
Pero umiling lang ito, "Miss, hindi po pwede. Nasa guidelines po ng university library na kailangan po ng lib card para makapagcheckout."
"I really need this book, Ma'am, para po sa reporting ko sa Masters..." She pleaded one more time.
"Use this, Ma'am, I'll check it out in behalf of her," Napatigil naman siya nang may nagsalita. Meghan looked back and saw a very familiar man. It was the same man na nakasabay sa elevator noon - the law student who seemed to know her name - but a mere stranger to her.
The staff immediately gets the guy's card and recorded the book she intended to borrow. After checking-out, binigay naman ng lalake ang libro sa kanya.
"This is yours," The guy started. Meg sheepishly smiled as she accepted the book. Bigla na lang siya nakaramdam ng hiya. The man was nice enough to lend her his library card.
"Thank you," She replied. Sabay pa silang lumabas saim library.
"No problem, Meg," He smiled warmly although she could sense there was something on his smile... like something mysterious.
"Uhm, how did you know my name?" She raised him an eyebrow. She got curious. Alam niyang ngayon pa lang niya napapansin sa university.
"Actually, sa library lang din. When you borrowed a book before, ako 'yung nakasunod sayo and I sort of saw your name on the card," Sagot naman nito. Ngayon, sabay din silang lumabas sa university campus.
"Ah..."
"Well, I'm Stefano. Stefano Marseille. I'm actually a law student. Papunta ako ngayon sa Bibliophile's cafe to review. What about you?"
"Same, 'dun din ako," Kanina pa niya pinlano na doon gumawa ng report. Dinala rin kasi niya ang laptop niya.
Stefano smiled at her widely and somehow, in that second, she loves the way he smiles at her, "Sabay na tayo."

"Love," Meg smiled when she felt Stefano kissing her neck softly, "Good morning."
She giggled as she faced him, cupping his cheek. Nasa kama pa rin kasi siya at mas nauna itong nagising sa kanya. Just a month ago, they got married. Everything was bliss. She was enjoying being his wife - at ito naman ay enjoy na enjoy din bilang asawa niya. She didn't even expect that Stefano would be ten times more caring when they got married. Palagi pa nga siya nitong nilulutuan ng breakfast.
