Josh’s P.O.V
3 weeks later…..
There were only 6 days left of your and I was pretty much counting down the minutes. Don’t get me wrong, I love touring and I would tour every day of my life but I was desperate to see Emily now. We spoke more than once every day on the phone but since she got assaulted I’ve really worried about her. I know that Georgie has been staying with her so she’s never alone but I know that she still gets these nightmares and I want to be there. She’s phoned me a few times over the last couple of weeks in the early hours crying not wanting to sleep because of the nightmares and it makes me feel really sad for her.
“JOSH GET THE HELL OUT OF BED. IT’S GONE 1!” Dan shouted from the other end of the bus. I sighed and climbed out the bunk and went into the bathroom. I quickly showered and went to the lower floor of the bus and there was no-one there. I quickly made me some toast and walked into the venue, guessing they would be there, eating my breakfast.
“JOSH COME HERE” Max shouted from on stage.
“Please don’t shout” I rubbed my head which was pounding.
“Awwww has poor Joshy got a hangover?” He said patronisingly. I just nodded. I knew when I went to sleep last night that I would wake up with a killer head. I walked over to where Max was standing tuning his guitar. “You may as well go and lie back down.” Max said and I just nodded walking back to the bus. I climbed in and took a couple of paracetamol then swallowed a pint of water hoping that when I got back up I would feel better. I went to my bunk and lay on top of the quilt hoping to fall back to sleep. I lay there for an hour and I accept that I wasn’t going to sleep. At least my headache was starting to lift. I pulled my phone out my jeans pocket and phone Emily. The phone rang a few times until she picked up.
“Hey Joshy” She sounded really happy and it made me smile.
“Hello, you okay?”
“Yeah I’m okay, just tired. You?”
“Well I’ve got a killer hangover and I’m still lying in bed. So yeah, apart from that I’m fine” I laughed.
“Awww well Josh, there you see that you shouldn’t drink so much” She replied laughing.
“Maybe I’ll take that advice. There’s only 6 days left!”
“I KNOW I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU!” She squealed and I laughed at her excitement.
“Yeah, it ends on the Saturday but I’ll probably see you on the Tuesday because I’m going to have to go home first” I heard he sigh on the other end of the phone. “I’m really sorry, I would rather come straight to you as well but I promised my mom I would go and see her straight after tour ended.”
“No its fine, I understand.”
“So what are you doing?” I asked her.
“I am decorating the living room at the moment then I hope to do my bedroom. I all of a sudden realised that my flat is very boring so I decided to add some colour.”
