Chapter 12

“How did the show go?” I asked Josh.

“Yeah it was great to be back playing live”

“That’s good. I’d love to see you play by the way”

“Next time we play nearby you’re definitely are coming then” He said.

“Yep, I’ll be there. What are you doing now?” I asked pouring myself a cup of tea.

“Nothing really. The lads are going out but I’m staying in because I’m tired after the late nights the weekend.” We carried on talking for an hour until he said that he needed to go in the shower because he was all sweaty after the show and he needed to go to sleep.

“Okay bye Josh”

“Bye Emily” I ended the call and sent him a text. “xxxxxxxxx … because I can’t send kisses over the phone ;)”

“Why thank you Emily xxxxxxx” I laughed at his reply and lay back down watching the TV. By now it was gone 11:30 and I was feeling tired so decided to go to bed. I got into my bed and my phone buzzed making me jump.

“Hello Chloe” I said happily.

“Emily I’ve been trying to phone you for the last hour and half…”

“Sorry I was talking to Josh” I interrupted her before she jumped to conclusions.

“It’s okay. So we’re all going out tomorrow night”

“Are we? So great that you’ve planned my night” I said laughing. “Where are we going?”

“Just into town. You’re not at work are you?”

“Nope. No-one playing tomorrow” I was actually excited to go out.

“That’s good, I’ll phone you tomorrow anyway about the details.”

“Is it the five of us?” I asked before she put the phone down.

“Yep just us lot, anyway I’ll let you go to sleep. Night Emily”

“Night Chlo’” I put my phone under the pillow and went to sleep.

The sun shone through the curtains that I had forgot to shut the night before. I checked the time on my phone and it said that it was only 8:30. I sighed getting up knowing that I wouldn’t be able to get back to sleep. I got out of bed and pulled on my dressing gown and trudged into the kitchen. I switched on the kettle and got my coffee ready. I put some bread in the toaster and waited for the kettle to click. I poured the water into my mug and stirred just as my toast popped up. I quickly stirred my coffee and then got the butter and the strawberry jam out of the fridge. I covered my toast with butter and then plastered it in jam. I sat at the breakfast bar and ate my breakfast in silence. Once I was finished I went and got ready for the day. I went in the shower and washed my hair. Once I was out the shower I left my hair to dry naturally and got dressed. I pulled on some shorts with my patterned black tights. I teamed them with a big sweater and then went to put a bit of make up on. I swiped a thin line of black eyeliner across my eyelid and then I added a black line underneath. I finished off with mascara. I had always been lucky when it came to my skin; it was clear so I never used foundation unless I needed it.

I was planning on going out today to get something to wear tonight. So far I was going on my own unless one of the girls would come with me. I decided to phone Jas first and ask her if she would come with me. I picked up my phone and dialled her number.

“Hi Jas” I smiled as I said hello, I hadn’t spoken to her since camping the weekend.

“Hey Emily, you okay?”
