ECHO SAT BESIDE Caroline in a booth at a diner, both of them staring at Alaric in disbelief and anger.

"You said that Stefan was looking for a way to bring Damon and Bonnie back," the blonde snapped at Ric.

"I thought he was. I've been feeding him leads for months. He let me believe he was following them," the former hunter explained with a heavy disappointed sigh.

The blonde scoffed and sat back in her seat with her arms crossed over her chest. "Well, Echo and I been a little focused on magic bubble duty. And as you can see by the lack of magic in Mystic Falls, it's a spectacular fail of a mission." She threw out her hands in anger. "And now you're telling me that this whole time no one has been doing anything to help Bonnie and Damon?"

Echo was shaking in her seat from anger, her brown eyes almost black in rage, and her teeth were clenched so hard she was surprised that she wasn't breaking them.

Ric shrugged and pursed his lips as he tilted his head slightly. "I wouldn't exactly say no one."

The brunette furrowed her brows. "Who else is there?"

He gave her a look. "What other person thought of Damon as everything to him?"

Echo thought for a second before her eyes widened. "Enzo..." she chewed on the inside of her cheek at the thought of the British vampire. "Well, where is he?"

ECHO WAS NOW seated alone in the back of Caroline's car while Enzo rode up front with her. He was determined to fight the huntress for the passenger seat, but she was in no mood to argue.

Every so often, Enzo would glance back her at to check if she was okay, which she thought was odd considering that the last time she saw him — well, not really saw him seeing as he was a ghost — he tried to kill her. But, she wasn't holding any grudges against him seeing as he was angry and wrongfully killed by Stefan. Plus, he was doing everything in his power to bring back Damon, so she easily forgave him.

"You good back there, love?" He asked once more while he twisted his head between his and Caroline's seat. "Awfully quiet." It was weird to see her so quiet and frowning. He's so used to seeing her laughing and making weird threats.

"I'm fine." She glanced over at him before looking back out the window. "Are we there yet?"

The Augustine vampire frowned a little. "Not yet. Now, don't get too excited." Caroline reached over and smacked him upside the head which got a small smile from Echo. "Oh, and as for you, I heard you dropped out of school."

"And I heard that you were a lurker who was spying on my life." Caroline sent him a sarcastic grin and then turned back to the road. "When do we exit?"
