Chapter 15
Louis
When she said that she could run, she wasn't kidding.
She was bouncing off the walls, going to every station, with Harry and I dragging behind. I kept a few steps behind him. I really didn't like him, but I'm not sure why.
"Louis, you've got to keep up!" she said with much more energy than necessary. This is the girl I'm falling for. But is she falling for me, too? I don't think so. With my luck, she'll end up with Harry and I'll be alone.
The bell gonged, ending the training. Now was my chance. I ran up behind her and picked her up, throwing her over my shoulder. She screamed with laughter.
"LET ME DOWN, LOUIS!"
"No!" I said. "Training's over! You're hanging out with me now!"
"NEVER!" she joked.
"I'LL SPIN YOU AROUND--"
"No! Louis, okay, I'll hang out!" she said through a fit of giggles. I sat her down. She then ran away, leaving me to chase after her throughout the area. We were rewarded a couple of dirty looks, but it was too much fun to go to waste.
I finally caught her, throwing her again over my shoulder.
"Will you stop running?!" I laughed out.
She took a few deep breaths. "Alright, I'm wore out. I'm done. I won't run anymore."
I sat her down and spun her around to face me. That's when I caught a glimpse of her blue eyes. Wow, they were so pretty, like the ocean, with a dark blue ring around them. Or something to that effect. Either way, they were gorgeous. That along with her hair, thrown up in a messy bun, made her perfect. I just wanted to kiss her at that point.
She looked down. "Can I ask you a question, Louis?"
What? "Uh, sure," I said with a smile.
"What's going on between you and Harry?" she said, looking back up at me.
"Nothing," I said, turning my head away from her. Truth was, everything was wrong. I was jealous. I was a little intimidated by how much power Harry had over the ladies.
"You're lying," she said, placing a finger under my chin and turning my head to face her. "Seriously, what's up?"
I sighed heavily. "Remember when you wrote in the next to last letter to me that you loved me?"
She stood in shock. She knew exactly what I was talking about. "Yeah."
"And how you wished that you cold be with me?"
"Yes, Louis."
Here goes nothing. "I secretly wanted the same. It wasn't that life sucked for me or anything, its just I wanted to get away from it all. Live under a different standard of living. I'm not always sassy. I just wanted to get away."
"But what does that have to do with Harry?" she asked.
"I've been jealous." I said in a rush.
"What?"
"I'm jealous of Harry. he has this thing over ladies that I don't possess. I acted the way I did because I didn't want you to be with him."
She stood, paused for a bit, thenstarted to laugh. Why was she laughing?
"What's so funny?" I asked, a little upset.
"The fact that you thought Harry would get me." she said, calming down. "Look, Louis, Harry's nice, but he's a handful. I just don't like him like that. When I said I loved you....I meant it."
She meant it? I still had the letter. I don't know how many times I'd debated myself over whether or not she meant it in one way, or the other. She meant it the way I wanted her to mean it.
Now I wanted to kiss her more than ever. I leaned in a little, to see what she would do. I caught glimpse of her eyes closing. Oh Lord, here it comes..
"HEY GUYS!" someone said, making me jump. I pulled away to see who it was. Damn you, Harry.
Addy shot me an apologetic look. I regained composure and turned to him. Payback would come later....
