Chapter 25

Niall: I didn't think that I would be in such a predicament as I was in now.

Mikayla was having a melt down, because the games were suppose to start in the morning. We didn't have anyone but our stylise to calm her down, so it was a nightmare. I was literally holding her in my atms, trying to dry her tears. This melt down happened after about an hour of sleep.  I'm guessing she was dreaming about getting her head chopped off by some random kid that was probably trying to get ot the weapons table. She was shaking, but not from the dream.

"I'm so embarrassed," she said, burying her head into my shoulder. "I never wanted you to see me like this.  Its a complete nightmare.  I'm sorry, Niall."

"Its okay, Mikayla," I said. "It was a dream, and you needed help. The stylist wasn't around to help you out with the normal food and sweets, so I could only do what I could do."

She pulled away, wiping a tear from her eyes and sniffling. "I'm sorry for getting you up. Its like, three in the morning. You need sleep as much as I do. You're gonna be so tired in the morning,"

"No worries," I said. "I was up at three in the morning on the reaping. My mother is the one that always sits up all night, crying because her baby has the chance of getting drawn to be put in the games.  I guess her worst nightmare came true that day."

I began to think back to that day. It seemed like it had been an eternity since that day, the last day I saw my mother. The last day I yelled at her. The day I hugged my father for the first time in a long time. The first time any of my worst nightmares had come true.

"It seems like a long time ago," she said, reading my mind. "I remember my mom and dad being completely emotional over the games."

"And to think," I started. "the first time we evenr met you were crying."

She laughed, wiping another tear away. "I guess things just never change," she said.

I looked back at the clock. It read three thrity. "You think you're ready to go back to bed?" I asked.

"Can I stay in your room?" she asked. "Just in case I have another nightmare?"

"Of course," I said, giving her one last good night hug. "You do whatever you need to do."

"Thanks," she said, going back to her room ro get her blanket.

"You can always just sleep in my bed," I called after her. "I mean, I don't cacre. I'll probably not even fall to sleep."

"Would you do that for me?" she said, in pure awe of my kindness to her.

"Of course," I said. I opened my door and led her in. "trust me, I'm not like others. I'll probably snuggle up against you, but that's because I'm a natural cuddler."

She laughed. "That's funny, cause so am I!" We had a good laugh and climbed into bed.

"Good night, Niall," she said. "Or, should I say, happy napping?"

I laughed. "Good night, Mikayla."

Liam: I sat in the sitting area of the floor, just reading.  I had no idea what language it was in; I think it was Latin or something like that. I could make out some of the phrasing, but not enough to actually make a difference for anything.

I heard a light stirring in Danielle's room.  I didn't want to disturb her.  Neither did I want to be creepy and walk right into her room, without her permission. Then I heard a loud crash, and her voice, crying. I jumped up quickly and ran to her room. I turned the knob.  There was only one problem.
