Chapter 22-Liam
I sat patiently, waiting for my turn to go up. I must say, Danielle looked extremely beautiful. She was wearing an amber dress that flowed from her body like waves of grain. The stylist had straightened her beautiful hair, and recurled it to form waves, to match her dress. She didn't wear much makeup--she never wore much makeup to begin with--and that just made the look so much better. Finally, it was Danielle's turn to go up. I just hope she can handle what she has to say.
"Hello, Miss Danielle," Caesar said. "How are today? Might I say, you looking ravishing,"
"Thank you, Caesar!" she said as she made a twirl (like a ballerina) before sitting down. Her dress finally settled, sitting nicely on her legs. Man, she was beautiful, and her dress was magical.
They talked about her alliances with a couple of kids from Districts 2 and 7, which was understandable. I could have had an alliance with her, but I just wasn't in it I guess.
What was I thinking?
I wasn't as into her as I used to be. We've talked, yes, but we haven't had any moments. Nothing to spark anything. I guess I haven't worried about what to do with Danielle.
I think I've had a change of heart.
Its not that I don't like her anymore, I just don't like her like I did before.
Finally it was time for me to hit the stage. I walked on, feeling like a better man.
"Hello Liam!" Caesar said with excitement.
"Hello Caesar!" I said back. I took a seat in the chair beside him, smoothing out the crinkles in my pants.
"How have you been, lad?" he asked. This was usually always the first question asked at interviews like these. Butter them up to burn them.
"I've been alright," I answered nonchalantly.
"Good," he said. "How about that fiasco with Addy Mahoney, from District 3?"
"I'll say this: it was a lot of fun, but I kenw it was wrong. It was still a lot of fun,"
"Look at Liam Payne, being a bad boy!"
"I don't think I was being a bad boy," I said defensively.
"Well you two certainly caused a lot of trouble today," he defended. Then he laughed. "That was something. They locked down the whole games until you were found. How did you get out of the trouble you would have gotten into?"
"Addy basically said that she got lost getting back to the elevators," I explained. "Which was completely true. I think we were found on District 10's floor. We were extremely lost."
"I see," he said. The bell ringed, signifying the end of my turn. I hope I did enough to get some points with the capitol, considering what we did could have gotten us killed or whatnot. I exited the stage, feeling...tired. Like I need more sleep. I have done a lot today.
