chpt 17

Musarame made it a mission to seek out Shinso. Since they had different courses she made the plan to go look for him during break. She sat her leg bouncing in anticipation, as she waited. Then the bell rang, just as she stood up a hand stopped her.

"Can we talk?", it was Todoroki, she bit her lip as she glanced at the clock.

"Sorry how about later!", she yelled as she ran out the door and onto the hallway.

"Where is she in such a hurry?", asked kaminari as he glanced over.

"Why can't girls skirts lift higher when they run", muttered mineta as he had illusions.

This ticked Todoroki to the point he almost decided to turn him into an ice statue.

Meanwhile you'd arrived, tired but made it. You asked for him but only to be told he had stepped out, you awkwardly excused yourself as you headed back.

"Dammit",she mumbled but was surprised to see Shinso walking her way, seeming to be coming back from wherever he'd gone to.

"Hey Shinso!" She called out as she jogged to him stopping a few feet in front of him,"I was wonder-".

He walked past her briskly his shoulder shoving her slightly back. She knew she had screwed bad with their bond but she didn't expect it to be that bad. She reached out a hand to him.

"Hey I just want to -", a sting, he'd slapped her hand away.

"If me ignoring wasn't a big enough of a hint, then I'll say it," he said as he turned his eyes cold,"Go away."

Her throat dried,"Shinso...I'm Sorry I didn't mean to hurt you."

"So you mean treating me like someone special and then getting tossed aside to easily?!", he snapped, hurt evident in the way his eyes narrowed and his voice cracked," That shows how much I mattered, if it was that easy."

"No Shinso please, I was under a lot of stress and I did it without thinking", she tried explaining but she felt herself not even believing her own words.

"That's what a friend it for! You don't toss them aside when you choose too! I was there for you but you...",he paused as he made eye contact once but averted his gaze this made her flinch,"..never mind I'm leaving."

With that he walked away leaving her speechless in the middle of the hallway. The bell rang but her body didn't move. She could only stand there and regret.

Soon lunch came, she'd gone back to the classroom. She was nervous the whole time there. Barely nibbling  her food, she'd hear footsteps only to listen as they walked past the door.

What are you thinking? After today it's obvious he isn't coming. Just then the door slid open and her heart seemed to stop.

"Here you are", Todoroki said as he entered closing the door behind him.

"Todoroki hey", she mumbled quietly as her gaze went back to staring at her food.

"Were you expecting someone?", he asked as he approached her.

"No", she choked out, clenching her hands tightly.

He stopped infront of her, he gently took her food placing it next to her. He kneeled down and looked up at her face.

"Why are you crying?", here asked cocking his head to the side.

Looking away, tears streamed down her face," I'm not crying," she said firmly as she fought to hold the tears in.

He silently watched her no judgement on his face, only soft gaze as he looked at her.

"Stop crying! Dammit! So weak", she choked out, as she furiously wiped at her eyes, suddenly she felt warmth.

Todoroki held her in his arms, his head resting on top of hers,"I don't think it's weak to cry."

That was all she needed as she broke down. The room was silent except for her sobs, and occasional comforting words from Todoroki. After she'd collected herself, she told Todoroki about Shinso.

"So you think he hates you?" He questioned as he sat next to her.

"Yeah I mean I did hurt him bad", she mumbled shifting her gaze to the door every now and then.

He let out a soft laugh,"I think he's just sad, he doesn't hate you. He probably feels abandoned."

"Abandoned..", she mumbled to herself. She knew that feeling, now She felt even guiltier then before,"I have to fix things, I can't hurt him and act like normal."

Todoroki just patted her back,"I'll help you", He got up and walked to the door," I'll be right back stay here."

Before she could even protest, he was gone. She hadn't waited to long before he came back, and to her surprise and shock he through Shinso into the room.

"S-Shinso!", she exclaimed as she went to help him up and only to be brushed off.

"Why am I here?", he snapped at Todoroki who just gave him the cold shoulder.

"I'll let you two talk", Todoroki said as left the room, and to your own dread and amusement he froze the doors.

Shinso turned to look at you, he stood up and stuffed his hands in her pockets. There was an awkward silence.

"So are you going go explain", he mumbled, this brought a smile to your face.

"Yeah...its a bit long..", you said meekly

"Its fine, by the looks of it neither of us are going anywhere", he stated as he went ahead and took a seat.

You followed and sat across from him, and you poured everything out. Obviously excluding a few things about where you lived and your upbringing, you felt bad and told him about stain. By the end, he had stayed silent.

"...You went through all that?", he whispered softly.

"Yeah..but its fine now, I'm slowly getting better", you quickly explained trying to lighten the mood.

"Ugh! I'm such an Asshole", he groaned in annoyance as he leaned his head in the palm of his hands,"I'm sorry, I just-I wasn't being an Asshole on purpose I was being petty."

You both laughed, and for a moment everything felt normal, you heard the door open. Todoroki stood there with his hand on fire, a small pool of water formed around the door.

"Glad to see you made up", he said as he approached you both,"but it's almost time for class, a and Musarame Aizawa asked for you."

"He did!?", you hurriedly ran out the door.

He watched you run out of the classroom with a fond smile.

"You know you could've told me you just wanted me to talk to her, instead of threatening me", Shinso snapped at him.

Todoroki only glanced at him briefly,"If I recall, I didn't bring tears into her eyes", he turned to Shinso,"but aren't you happy now? I did you a favor."

Shinsou scoffed,"A favor? You only helped us because you want to look good in front of her. You're like your father you only approach when you need something right? Son of Endeavor", he mocked as he brushed past him.

Leaving a rather angry boy in the class, who was barely keeping it together from freezing him to death.
