SIDNEY'S POINT OF VIEW
Vixen invited me for a lunch since we haven't catch up for a long time. Although, I admit that it was my fault. Nag sisimula na daw siyang magtampo sakin. He will always be special to my heart and most especially to my son.
In fact, hindi ako nag paalam na aalis ako kay Caleb cause I don't think he needs to know dahil may mga kanya kanya parin kaming buhay. Sakto naman at ipapasyal niya ngayon si Sandler. I am supposed to be with them but just made an excuse that I'm not feeling well.
Instead of dining out, he insist na sa bahay na lang niya kami kumain. I arrived at around 11:30am at sakto naman na handa na rin ang pagkain. He kissed my cheeks at hindi ko sinasadyang mailang. I just wished that he didn't notice.
I bought a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon para naman may dala ako kahit papaano. We promptly started eating our lunch at sinabayan namin ng kwentuhan. Sobrang, namiss ko siya. He is not in his typical sweet attitude, which is okay lang naman sa akin.
When we are done with our lunch, We headed at his wine cellar and offered me a much expensive red wine.
"Can you sleep here?"
He asked in a bored tone while swirling his glass. Dahan dahan itong umupo sa leather couch then crossed his legs.
I have to be home before the sun sets and I have to think another excuse para tanggihan ang alok niya.
"Maybe next time. Marami pa akong gagawin."
Then I sip in my glass of Merlot. Tinabihan ko ito sa couch and asked for a toast.
"Like what? Is still your project?"
What else should I excuse? Medyo pa ulit ulit na ang rason ko. Should I tell him na babalik na muna ako sa London? Okay na din naman kami ni Caleb, I think titiisin ko na lang muna siguro na hindi umalis sa Tagaytay.
"A part of it. Tambak din kasi trabaho."
Was able to straightly finished my glass of wine after my reply. He noticed and pour another Merlot.
"How long should you be working with that project? Maybe I could help." And there he starts looking at me. Tila mapanubok ang mga tingin nito. Nakaka halata na kaya siya? If ever he finds out, I don't have a choice but to tell everything.
"No, You don't have to. I'm okay with my team."
Why all of a sudden, He was curious with my work? Hindi ko pa naman napag handaan yung mga tanong nya. My eyes look around and avoided his gaze.
"Then please stay for a night. It's Saturday, makakapaghintay ang trabaho." He will not accept a defeat. Did he really miss me? Pakiramdam ko ay iniimbistigahan niya ko.
This is not our usual conversation. Most of the time ay mas marami siyang binabalita sa akin kesa ang tanungin ako.
His right hand was on top of his lap. I held them and hoping that this one will work.
"I'm sorry Vixen, But I can't. Please try to understand" My lips formed at smile at tinitigan lang niya ang kamay ko. After a few seconds ay inalis niya ito para kunin ang bote sa lamesa.
