Chapter 18

Sidney's Point of View

Lumalalim na ang gabi. It's already ten o'clock in the evening at nagising ako sa malakas na iyak ni Sandler. Buong mag hapon siyang matamlay at ayaw kumain. Hindi rin siya masyado nag laro sa araw na toh since napansin ko na may sinat siya kanina. Pinainom ko na siya agad ng gamot para hindi na ito lumalala.

Sumugod naman ako agad sa kwarto ng anak ko. Kasabay ko ang Yaya Lita ni Sandler na nagising din sa iyak. As soon sa we opened the door ay niyakap ako agad ito. I saw the stains ng mga pinag sukahan nya na mabilis naman nilinis ni Yaya. Maiiyak yata ako at halos mapaso dahil inaapoy na ng lagnat si Claud Sandler.

"Oh my God! Yaya, pakiabot naman ang thermometer."

My son is also shaking and coughing dahil na din sa kakaiyak niya. I already placed the thermometer in Sandler's armpit.

"Hushhh.. Don't cry baby. Sandler is brave boy right? You'll be fine. Mommy is here okay? Hushh.."

Tumulo na ang luha ko. Ayoko sa lahat ay nakikitang nahihirapan ang anak ko. He's a very healthy boy at bihirang bihira talaga mag kasakit. He don't easily cry kahit nadadapa ito. I need to send my son to the hospital.

"Yaya, please paki sabihan naman si Wilbert na iprepare ang kotse. Dadalhin na natin si Sandler sa ospital!"

I removed the thermometer and I was horrified to find to out that his temperature is already 40°C. Binuhat ko na ang anak ko habang nag mamadaling kunin at ilagay ang ilang mga gamit nya sa bag. Immediately I went out of his room at sinalubong na din ako ng isa pang kasambahay para tulungan sa mga dala kong gamit.

I asked Wilbert na dalhin kami sa Asian Hospital at pinag madali ko talaga ang driver. Humihikbi parin si Sandler pero hindi na kasing lakas ng iyak niya kanina. While we're on our way to the hospital, I decided to call his father. Caleb and I are not in good conditon again. Balik nanaman kami sa pagiging ilang sa isa't isa at ang malamig niyang pakitungo. But I'm starting not to care anymore as long as he's being a good father.

Ring lang ito ng ring pero hindi sumasagot hanggang sa pinag babaan ako nito ng telepono.

Damn it Caleb! This is emergency!

I tried calling his number for several times and I just failed. Mararating na namin ang hospital pero wala parin akong matanggap na sagot mula sa Ama niya. I don't have a choice but to send him a message just in case na mabasa niya ay ma tatawagan niya ako.

Our son needs him. And as a parent kailangan ko din ang cooperation ngayon ni Caleb. If only Vixen knows about our situation, I wont hesitate na tawagan siya para samahan ako ngayon.

I hope nothing bad will happen to Sandler. Please.. Please.

Hindi ko nanaman napigilan ang sarili ko sa pag iyak. I have to admit that I'm weak when it comes to my son.

Caleb's Point of View

We had our late dinner here in Finestra which is a fine dining italian restaurant here in Solaire. Dito rin kasi kami naka check-in since we're celebrating our third wedding anniversary. Margaux looks so beautiful wearing her maroon dress. I love her sense of fashion.

Our original plan was spending a week or less in Maldives to celebrate our anniversary, but unfortunately I have to cancel our vacation because of my urgent meeting yesterday and my appointment with Mr. Evan tomorrow lunch. I just made a promise to my wife that, we will continue our planned vacation as soon as I fix my schedule. Kailangan ko na din kasi bumawi sa kanya.

"Thanks for the three years of marriage Caleb. I'm just glad that we were able to celebrate this kind of special occasion kahit busy tayo."

We're still eating our main course and I think she loves the food. Time flies when you're busy and happy. At first, I never thought that this marriage would last even just for six months. My wife is very amazing woman. She made me feel loved again. She helped to be a whole new person that I've become right now.
