*3rd Persons POV*

The (H/C) alpha's howl echoed across Black Wood forest, no single corner, dark spot or hole in the ground was safe from hearing the howl. The howl would only come from an experienced alpha, no other wolves could create that deep vibrating echoing sound. It was haunting to the humans who camped a few miles away, waking them from their slumber.

...

Every single wolf in Black Wood forest stood to attention, whether they were enemy or friend, all of them listened. Levi stopped his hunt mid stalk, his head tilting up and his ears flicking around to understand the message. (Y/N) also stood to attention, but with fear underlying it she couldn't understand what the message was, her eyes were flicking and searching for Levi desperately wanting some comfort from the black furred wolf.

...

Deep in his tree and mud home the grey, scared wolf was also listening to the call, he felt the pull of the call to come out of his hiding spot and join the pack against the threat, which was himself. The power of the call astounded him, but he held himself back, he managed to keep himself hidden in his cave but he was stood and tensed. His scars pulling uncomfortably on his skin.

...

In the human camp an unaccounted for wolf felt the shift in their skin at the call, an alpha was calling them and they would answer. They had been away from the pack for long enough and finally they were being called back. They had missed their pack, but their mission very important and an honour for them.

*(Y/N)'s POV*

The howl vibrated through your body, your ears tilted back as your head and eyes flicked around the forest, desperately trying to find Levi. Your legs shook underneath you out of fear of the unknown, the howl was long and definitly sounded longer than one breath but didn't have any breaks or hitches for an intake of breath.

You heard a crashing sound reverberate through the forest, coming towards you. Your eyes focused on the direction your body naturally leaning back and away from where the noise was coming from, your muscles tensing, ready to run if whatever came through the forest was dangerous.

But you didn't need to worry as it was only Levi. He seemed like he was in a bit of a panic, which was a new look for him. It was a look you actually found funny in the usually stoic and impressive man-wolf, you felt your lips pullback into a slight smile, you tried to stop it because whatever had Levi panicked seemed serious but you couldn't help it.

"(Y/N)... you're ok... thank... god" he seemed out of breath and ignored the smile that was on your face.

"What was that howl? Has it got something to do with why you're so panicked right now?" You tilted your head and you spoke loosening your smile straight away.

"That howl was from the other alpha of the pack. Your farther. It was a warning and calling howl, he had smelt they grey wolf the one who attacked you and is warning the entire forest while also calling all the wolves of the forest to him. That howl also means that we have to go back to the pack... right now" Levi explained.

"But, what about the training, my training?" You asked worried you didn't feel ready or wild enough to join the pack yet.

"Don't worry. The pack will love you no matter how wolf-like you are, we aren't like humans. We don't judge each other. Even if we wanted to, our bonds prevent that. In truth the only reason I suggested and went through with this training was for your safety. I just didn't want to worry you, I couldn't smell where the grey wolf ran off to and so figured that he would have positioned himself as close to the pack as he could. So I decided to keep you away from the pack for that reason." Levi gave you a small smile.

You felt your body freeze up, all this time you were out here alone with Levi because the grey wolf wanted you and was waiting for you at the pack "so anything I haven't learnt yet will he learnt with the pack?" You asked.

"Yes although I'm going to request another retreat like this just for us. No training and no threat when this is all over" he mumbled, if he was in his human form he would have bright red cheeks.

He shook his head and nudged your shoulder telling you to start walking. Both of you walked through the forest together, you slightly behind him because you had no idea where you were going. The fact that Levi was walking sort of confirmed that the pack wasn't at all very far away from where your training was taking place. He also seemed pretty relaxed despite the threat of the grey wolf that was hanging over you.

It didn't take long and soon enough you were close to the pack, so close that you could hear them moving around and yipping. You began to slow, your ears tilting back and you nerves beginning to build, you don't remember anything to do with the pack before you were taken away, but you had a feeling they would remember you. You also had a feeling that you coming back would be something of a spectacle within the pack, and you didn't know if you liked that or not.

"Nervous?" Levi turned back to you, his ice blue eyes boring into your soul.

"Very nervous, what if they don't like me? How do I greet them, oh my god I'm about to meet my dad! Ahhhhh what do I do? Help me" you began panic ranting.

"Calm down they'll love you, trust me. And you just say hello like you would greet a person. They've all been waiting for you and plus, I'll be with you the entire time" Levi nuzzled into your neck and licked your cheek.

It calmed you a lot more than you expected it to, when he pulled away you took a deep breath and then nodded to Levi. He nodded back and then stepped out of the forest you following straight after, an open space appearing before you. All wolf eyes on you.
