I apologise for not updating last week but I had a bunch off assignments, they swamped me down and I didn't get a chance to write anything.

I'm beginning to come to the end of this book. Maybe one or two chapters left. 😭❤️ Thank you for reading and I hope that you have enjoyed.❤️

*(Y/N)'s POV*

You were shocked awake by a large clap of thunder and a deep, angry, dangerous growl. Your eyes snapped open to see a shadow at the opening of the cave. The shadow became a big, grey, horrifically scarred wolf in the flashes of light, you jumped up in a panic. Levi and your father asleep beside you, if you hadn't woken who knew what would have happened.

"Levi! (F/N)" you yelled in a panic.

They instantly jumped awake, both of them hitting defensive positions instinctively, Levi jumped in front of you and your father in front of Levi, thus creating a two wolf barrier to you. The grey wolf didn't flinch at all, it may have been two against one but he was much bigger than both your father and Levi, which is something that you didn't notice before.

"It's been a long time..." your father started.

But the grey wolf said nothing, he just glared harshly an the both of them. The tension settled in the cave as everyone turned silent, all just waiting for someone to make the first move. All you could hear was the rain and thunder, with the occasional crack of lighting that lit up the sky behind the grey wolf, only in those brief flashes could you see him properly, and he was terrifying.

The grey wolf shifted low and your farther reacted before the grey wolf could get the jump on you first. Your farther jumped forward, sending the grey wolf flying back and out the cave, they tumbled down the hill to the cave and out of sight.

"Dad!" You shouted and made to run after him.

But Levi stopped you by grabbing your scruff and holding you down with a paw to the back "no, what are you thinking? Stay here and stay safe I can't do anything if I'm worrying about you. I'll make sure that your father's ok, remember it's two against one, we still have the advantage"

All you could hear from the outside was faint growls snaps and short jowls, the rain creating most of the sound and you wouldn't be able to hear it if you weren't focusing on it. Having only just woken you weren't at all convinced that this wasn't a dream and that your farther wasn't currently fighting for his life.

"Ok" you nodded to Levi.

It was a short answer but that was all you could muster for him. You wanted to tell him to be careful, to stay with you and not to risk his life. But you couldn't muster it from anywhere, your brain couldn't process it, let alone force the words from your mouth. Your body was frozen to the spot your eyes were the only part of your body that could move, they were constantly flicking from Levi to the spot where the grey wolf once stood.

But it was too late to say anything to him as Levi soon dashed out of the cave, into the rain and out of sight. You took a breath in like you were going to say something but once again nothing came out of your mouth and you were soon left alone in the cave, the sounds of fighting still outside.

*Levis POV*

The rain instantly soaked you, making you look like a drowned dog, but currently that didn't matter. Through the rain you could see the grey wolf and (F/N) in a deadly situation, they both already had various bite wounds that were bleeding down there fur and being washed away by the rain. Currently the grey wolf had his jaws locked of (F/N) shoulder. (F/N) himself had his jaws tightly gripping the grey wolfs leg, both of them tugging and trying to throw the other off them and to the floor.

You'd have to be careful about how you would enter this fight, a wrong move and (F/N) could end up seriously hurt. You jumped in grabbing the grey wolf by the snout, your teeth dug in and ripped him away from (F/N), who pulled the grey wolves leg out from under him. The grey wolf fell to the floor and you went for his throat to end the fight.

But the grey wolf moved and your mouth only clamped down on air a snapping sound clearly sounding from how hard you shut your mouth, you had lost your element of surprise. You felt a sharp pain in your back as teeth dug into your flesh and you were tossed sharply and quickly aside, from the corner of your eye you could see (F/N) go in for the attack, which allowed you to right yourself.

(F/N) had grabbed a hold of the grey wolf and was trying to shove him over so that his soft belly and neck were exposed, while he was on his feet you wouldn't have a chance of taking him out. But the grey wolf was too strong and no matter how hard (F/N) tried he couldn't turn him over.

The grey wolf simply grabbed (F/N) by the tail and with a vicious tug had (F/N) in a defenceless position, you rushed forward but were slightly too late. The grey wolf had dug his teeth into (F/N) soft exposed stomach ripping at the flesh sending blood flying, you grabbed the grey wolf by the tail and ripped him away from (F/N).

You didn't have a chance to check on (F/N) though as the grey wolf swiftly turned around going for your throat, forcing you to let go of his tail and dodge the sharp teeth coming your way. By this point the pack is had started to leave their own caves to see what all of the commotion was, they didn't get involved though as this was a fight for the alphas only, it was for leadership of the pack.

You were forced into a retreat, constantly backing away quickly while desperately trying to avoid his nashing teeth. You were trying to wear him out so that you could then go on the attack and get the upper hand, (F/N) hadn't joined back in the fight which could only mean something bad. But you still couldn't check.

Unexpectedly the grey wolf jumped in that split second you worried for (F/N), aiming for your throat, you had just enough time to move your head in the way instead, his jaws grabbing across your face instead. But it was in vain as he now had a hold on you and you couldn't get out, you felt his jaws start to crush your face making you yowl in pain before he tossed you away.

You hit the floor hard, your mind went dizzy and you tried to struggled to your feet feeling the blood run down your face and quickly to the floor. Just as you were struggling you felt the grey wolf shove you back to the floor helpless, you saw his jaws open through the haze ready to go for the killing blow. You shut your eyes, helpless for the first time in your life just waiting for death.

But before he could get a hold on your neck the grey wolf was wrenched away from you...
