Practice on Tuesday ended with neither of the two freshmen speaking to Hikari. She texted Kageyama all about their encounter, when she found out later than night that he had his own encounter with the self-proclaimed commoner. To say that Hikari was angry when she found out he practically said the same thing to her boyfriend, was an understatement.
Hikari's mom could feel her dark aura seeping through the walls of their adjacent rooms, and she debated on whether to call Tobio over to calm her daughter down or whether to flee to their house, and ask the boy's sister if she could sleep over there instead.
Fortunately, Hikari calmed down after Kageyama sent her a video of puppies falling down the stairs as they tried to learn how to use them.
There were only three things that made Hikari exceptionally happy. These things will without a doubt make her happy no matter what— even if she was already shrouded in that dark aura. There three things were: her boyfriend, orange juice, and puppies.
Suffice to say, Hikari's mom slept peacefully in their own home.
Wednesday came rolling in, and Hikari found herself starting to follow a new routinee. She had morning classes, where she ignored Tsukishima, but smiled at Yamaguchi who gave her a small wave. Tsukishima glared at him when he noticed their interaction, making the freckled boy mutter a small "Sorry, Tsukki," as he flashed the blonde a sheepish smile. Lunch with Tobio came and went by quickly, and then came afternoon classes. Next came practice which she honestly dreaded, not wanting to interact with the salty bean pole. Thankfully, they didn't interact that day. Nor did they on Thursday.
It was now Friday, and they still hadn't spoken to each other. Suga was worried that it would get in the way of tomorrow's game, so he asked Daichi if they could play against the second years as a form of practice, but Daichi dismissed him, saying they'd be just fine. Suga wasn't convinced, but before he could ask again, Daichi already gave out the order to practice blocks and sets.
Saturday finally came, and Hikari, Kageyama, and Hinata were now stretching on one side of the court.
Hikari had been happy to hear that Tobio finally tossed to Hinata last night, and she was in high spirits for their game today.
Kiyoko had finally arrived, so Daichi decided it was time to start the match.
"Alright, let's begin." Daichi said as he herded Tsukishima and Yamaguchi over to the side of the net that wasn't occupied.
The other three freshmen stood up as Tanaka started making his way into the court.
"Don't forget our little bet, babe." Hikari teased as she wrapped her arms around Tobio's waist from the back before tiptoeing and planting a soft but lingering kiss on his jaw, before abruptly pulling away with a smirk on her face, and moving to the other side of the court, passing under the net.
Kageyama felt a chill run down his spine, thinking about the stampede of animals he would cause. He shot her playful glare as soon as he recomposed himself.
As Hikari stopped beside Yamaguchi, Tsukishima suddenly cleared his throat.
"So, which one shall I hold down first?" He spoke loudly in a patronizing tone, acting like he was just thinking loudly to himself. "That's right, I can't wait to see the king dethroned."
Hikari's eye twitched after hearing those words, but she was in too good of a mood to let the blonde ruin what she felt would be a good day for her.

Fanfic"No, Tobio. I'm going to Karasuno too." Hikari said with pursed lips. Her hands were on her hips, and her eyebrow was raised, as if challenging the raven haired boy on the other side of the volleyball net to refuse her another time. The boy groaned...
