I smiled at Josh and Jaden. I can't wait for Sunday this is gonna be so much fun. I snuggled up in my bed and got warm. My room is always so freezing. I laid there just staring at my ceiling and couldn't help remembering all the things that have gone wrong in my life.
I missed my mom so much. When I was in middle school she was my idol she helped me through everything. Her and my dad finally decided to tell me that she was diagnosed with stage-3 thyroid cancer when I was 8. I did everything I could to try and make her feel better. I remember crying in Josh's arms for hours about it even though I didn't really understand why she was so sick. I'm never going to forget the day that me and Josh were walking to my house from school and saw the ambulances outside my house
Flashback
"No, I totally beat your ass in kickball" I laughed at Josh while skipping down the road towards my house
"Whatever, I'm gonna get you next time" he rolled his eyes
"Is that a threat or a promise?" I joked jumping on his back
"Most definitely a threat" he laughed continuing to carry me Until we heard the loud sounds of sirens behind us
Josh moved us into the sidewalk so they could drive past before he dropped me off his back
"Shit I hope everyone's okay" Josh mumbled as we continued walking
There was a huge smile plastered on my face until I saw which house the ambulance stopped at. Wtf why are they at my house
Then I felt my heart drop in the pit of my stomach and I could tell Josh's did to. We both ran like jets toward my house. All we could do was watch as my dad held my moms hand on the Gurnee she laid on
"Mom!" I yelled running up to her
"Hey, sweetie it's gonna be okay" my dad faint voice said before my mom looked at my dad and smiled
