Chapter 4

[Modern Sonic Universe]
{Shadow's P.O.V.}
I took out the cameras I spotted in the halls as I walked towards the computer room of the Doctor's lair.

I knew I hadn't spotted some of them, but at this point, I didn't care, since all I needed to do is find Doctor and punch him until he shuts down his computers and let us get Sonic back.

If I don't get my Sonic back.

I will break everything.

And I won't regret it.

I heard Doctor shouting at his robots for not doing their job and told them to activate Metal.

"Shadow has entered the lair and you're just standing there?!"

"B-Boss... He-" The circle, red robot spotted me as I looked at the from the door with my arms crossed, but the Doctor cut him off.

"No! You listen to me!" He yelled and growled at them "Go get Meta- gAH! Shadow?!" He yelped when he saw me. "Why have you come here? I've done nothing!"

"Right." I scoffed at what he said. "You better give Miles his computer back. Or else I'm destroying this place."

"That's not going to happen!" He pressed a button from the hundreds he had on behind him, making the doors behind me close and Eggman smirk.

I was about to chaos control away but I realized that I couldn't feel my chaos emerald on me.

"Fuck..." I said lowly and saw Metal dashing towards me. I dodged his attacks as much as I could and punched him a couple of times. I knew I couldn't use my powers since without my chaos emerald, my energy would drain quickly.

I heard the Doctor laugh as I looked around for a way to get out. I growled at him and dashed to the control panel, spin dashing it in attempt to free myself.

When I dashed through the panel, the power went out and I suddenly felt the energy from the chaos emerald come back.

"NOOOO!!" Eggman shouted at the top of his lungs. "My computer!!"

I rolled my eyes and without wasting any time, I chaos controlled out the lair, panting and with a few bruises.

"I hope that helped..." I mumbled to myself and started walking away. Just then Miles called me, making my heart beat faster thinking we could bring Sonic back. "Miles?"

"Shadow. We have a problem."

{Sonic's P.O.V.}
"So... you and... Sonic... Are together...?" I asked calmly, but I was shocked that this dimension was so much different than mine.

"Y-yes..." Amy sobbed, she had started crying while she was talking to me about her and Sonic. "I-I just hope h-he's fine..." She grabbed a napkin and blew her nose on it as Sticks rubbed her back.

"Calm down, Amy. You know that Sonic survives almost everything." Tails said from beside me as he read the blueprints he had from the portal. "He survived being in Egghead's body while we attacked him, he's basically immortal."

"Wait... What?" I raised a brow and looked at Tails. "How crazy is this island?"

Tails chuckled and shook his head. "You don't wanna know, every day something new happens."

"Yeah, we rarely have a normal day." Sticks nodded at what Tails said. "When we had a normal day Tails invented a weird machine that said what you really meant... Or something like that. " She shrugged. "It never worked on me."

"I wonder why..." Tails mumbled sarcastically, only audible to me. I snickered lightly and lightly hit his elbow.

"Shh! This is serious." I tried to keep a straight face and nodded at the badger. "C-continue..." I was having a hard time holding my laughter for some reason.

"Yeah, and that's when Sonic and Amy confessed their feelings." Sticks continued talking unbothered.

"Really...?" I raised a brow and looked at Tails. "Can you bring that robot here?" I asked curiously, I wanted to see if that machine really worked or not.

"Sure. But it's not my fault if a dark secret comes out." He shrugged and walked to the garage then came back with a small robot.

When Amy saw it she smiled softly and wiped her tears with a different napkin. "I love this robot."

"But it doesn't work!" Sticks shouted confused.

"But it doesn't work!" The robot repeated her exact words.

"See?!" She pointed at the robot and looked at Amy. "It doesn't work!"

"Sticks. Enough." Tails rolled his eyes playfully when the robot repeated her once more. "Let Sonic speak." He chuckled, making Sticks frown and fold her arms.

I looked at the robot and crouched beside it. "Is this thing on?" I lightly tapped on the top of its... Head...? Making it move away from me.

"There's no way this is true." The robot said. Which wasn't really what I was thinking, but it was accurate.

Tails chuckled and grinned proudly as the robot stood beside him. "Oh, yes it does~"

"I'm a proud father." The robot translated, making me laugh.

"So it can read my mind?" I asked as I stood up again with a low groan.

"So it knows that I'm gay?"

I froze when the robot said that and cursed under my breath. This thing shows no mercy.

I noticed how everyone was looking at me confused and shocked. "What...?" Tails whispered, followed by the robot asking the exact same question.

"Uh... Whoops...?" I smiled sheepishly and raised my hands as I shrugged my shoulders.

"Don't hurt me, Amy."

"Please."
