The guys ended up doing two encores. When the last one was done, Josh fairly flew off the stage to the wings. He was sweaty, his clothes sticking to him, but he picked Destiny up and twirled her around. He then set her back on her feet and hugged her fiercely. Destiny was surprised, she though he would be angry with her.

"I thought you'd be mad," Destiny said.

"I am. I'm furious." Josh hugged her tighter and kissed her deeply.

"Then I should make you mad more often," Destiny grinned Josh looked into her eyes and said quietly, "Never do that again." The grin faded from Destiny's face. "I'm sorry, Josh. I was having such an amazing time, I just didn't think about the hour."

He hugged her again. "I wasn't up to my normal standards tonight," Josh said, his head on her shoulder.

Destiny asked, "Because of me? Josh, you really didn't need to worry about me."

He sighed deeply, releasing some of the pent-up energy he felt. Where was it when he had been on stage? Knowing Destiny wasn't there in the wings had bothered him more than he could say. And he did worry about her.

"I know you had me shadowed, Josh. They weren't exactly subtle. They can tell you I didn't do anything unsafe."

Josh raised his head and said, "Going to that tent was less than wise, Des. It was isolated and you could have been kidnapped. Marcus is a real threat, Des."

"I know, Josh, and I was glad you had me followed, but you won't always be able to do that and I can't be with you 24-7."

Before Josh could reply, Danny Wagner materialized at his side and pulled on his arm. "Come on, let's go!" he said excitedly.

"Where are we going?" asked Josh pulling Destiny to his side and putting an arm around her waist.

"There's a monster Halloween party and at midnight, they do fireworks and such. The Gypsy Faire closed early and most of them are there." Josh was on the verge of saying no, but he glanced at Destiny and saw her eyes sparkle. She wanted to go and she was dressed for it. The band too.

"Okay, okay, lead on."

Danny joined up with Jake and Sam who were putting away their instruments. A case of if you want something done right, do it yourself, and both guys wanted it done right. When they had finished, Danny was practically jumping up and down.

"Why are you so anxious?" asked Josh.

"Oh, no reason, I'm just ready to cut loose," said Danny.

Josh suspected it was more than that, but he didn't say anything.

"Okay," said Sam at last, "We can go now."

The guys and Destiny climbed aboard the tour bus and told their driver where they wanted to go. He was pleased to take them there, and Josh started wondering if there was more to this party than fireworks.

They didn't have far to go, just outside town. The driver parked the bus at the end of a long line of other buses, campers, VW wagons, and trailers. Destiny had seen some of them at the Gypsy Faire. She smiled, maybe she could see the Dragon Clan after all.

They filed out, even the driver. He said he was going to get something to eat and talk with the other drivers. They agreed to meet right after the fireworks. Destiny was tickled pink. She thoroughly enjoyed all the costumes, the hastily assembled stalls for selling things, the good time people were having.

She was surprised she could feel and smell so much magic in the air. There must be more of her kind there than she thought.

Sam moved up beside Destiny and asked, "Do you feel it?" She nodded and Sam marveled. "Is it always this way?" Sam asked in a hushed voice.
