Chapter 26

Endgame

Natasha's POV
I get to the Avengers base. "Did we get all of them?" I hear Bruce ask. "You telling me this'll actually work?" Rhodey asks. I hear everyone pause and they realize someone is missing. "Nat where's Clint?" Steve asks. My silence tells them what they need to know.

We are all outside the base by the lake. "Why are we all acting like he's dead? We have the stones. We can get him back right? So stop this shit we're the Avengers, get it together." Thor says. "We can't get him back." I reply. "Wha-what?" Thor asks. "It can't be undone. It can't." I reply crying. Thor laughs dryly. "I'm sorry. No offense, but your a very earthy being. Okay? We're talking about space magic. And can't seems very definitive don't you think." I look at Thor. "It can't be undone. Or at least that's what the great, floating guy had to say." I wipe my tears and start to shout. "Maybe you wanna go talk to him? Okay? Go grab your stupid hammer! And go talk to him!" I feel my anger being replaced by grief again. "It was supposed to be me. He sacrificed his life for that goddamned stone! He bet his life on it!" Bruce throws a bench across the lake. "He's not coming back. We have to make it worth it. We have to." Steve stands up. "We will."

We figure out that Bruce is going to snap his fingers. He snaps and faints, luckily he's okay other than his arm though. "Did it work?" Thor asks. I ringing from inside my suit, I pull my phone out, it's Bucky. "Hi....hi Bucky." I struggle to get words out I'm so happy. "Natalia, what happened?" He asks. "I'll explain everything, when I see you." I say.

Suddenly a bunch of bombs go off. I land next to Tony. "Tony you okay?" I ask coughing. "Yeah." Tony says getting up. "Steve." I say I rush over to him he's unconscious on the ground. "Come on Steve, wake up." Steve gasps for breath. "Oh thank god." I sigh. Tony hands Steve his shield. "You lose this again. I'm keeping it." Tony smiles. "What happened?" Steve asks. "Well mess with time, it messes back." Tony replies. We walk over to Thor who is watching Thanos well 2014 Thanos.

"What's he been doing?" I ask Thor. "Nothing." He replies. "Where are the stones?" Steve asks. "Somewhere under all this. All I know is he doesn't have them." Tony says. "We make sure to keep it that way." Steve replies. "You guys know this is a trap right?" Thor asks. "Yeah. We don't care though." I reply. I am going to kill Thanos for taking my friend for taking everything. "Good as long as we're all in agreement." Thor smiles. And with that we walk towards Thanos.
