(February 2012):

"Claire, I have no clue what the hell I'm going to wear!" Isabelle said as she was quickly rummaging through her closet.

Claire smiled as her face popped up on Isabelle's laptop. "I've never seen you so nervous before. Can't wait to meet him."

"Not helping."

Claire laughed. "Do you still have the cream colored top with the baggy sleeves?"

"Yeah, you know that's always my go to." Isabelle answered as she grabbed it from her closet.

"Okay, show me the different skirts or pants that you have." Isabelle got out some of her favorites as she put them on display for Claire. "That one! The second to last skirt. Oh, that would look amazing with the top."

Isabelle grabbed the multi-colored flow skirt and looked at it with the top, smiling. "Perfect! I'd be so lost without you, C."

"I'm always here, Izzy. Did he tell you what you were going to do?"

Isabelle shook her head. "Not really. He just told me it wasn't a fancy dress type of thing."

Claire nodded. "I think you should take some change of clothes, too. Like something comfortable."

Isabelle raised her eyebrows. "And why would I do that?"

"I mean, what if he's planning something and you stay late?"

"Claire Till, do you know something I don't?" Isabelle asked her friend, not looking away from the laptop screen.

"What the hell am I supposed to know?" Claire answered. "It's not like I have the guy's number."

"I'm going to pretend to believe you."

Claire shrugged. "As you like, Iz."

"Okay, I'm going to get ready. I'll talk to you after, good?"

"I'm waiting!"

They said their goodbyes and hung up as Isabelle started to get ready. She already had her hair straightened as she applied her makeup. She smiled looking at the mirror, not really being able to believe that she was getting ready for her Valentine's day date with Jimmy.

She couldn't help but giggle as she remembered how he told her he wanted to celebrate on the 15th and not the 14th since it would mark their two-month anniversary. It was simultaneously the most adorable and cheesiest thing ever but she loved it.

She added her own touch as she finished getting ready as there was a knock on the door.

"Hey Iz!" Ally called. "Jimmy's here! Get your ass out here!"

Isabelle shook her head as she smiled. She was glad that someone like Ally was her roommate. She wasn't too nosy and didn't ask a lot of questions but she was there when she needed her. They weren't the best of friends but they were somewhat close after living together for a few months now, and she was thankful for that. It's always a hit and miss with college roommates.

"I'll be out in a minute!" She replied as she grabbed her knee-high boots, slipping them on. She took one last look in the mirror and then walked out of her bedroom and into the small living room.

Jimmy's back was facing her before Ally's eyes snapped to her and widened, a smile forming on her face. "Iz! You look amazing!"

Jimmy turned around and was just blown away. He could never really get over her natural beauty but to say that he liked that dusty-rose colored lipstick would be a huge understatement. Their eyes met and she smiled her breathtaking (as Jimmy would describe it) smile at him. And be still my beating heart were both of their thoughts. He didn't know if it was normal to have feelings this strong so soon, but at the moment, he didn't care if it was too soon because he loved the way his heart reacted to her. And he loved the sight in front of him.
