Chapter 19

Her hand clutched the spot above her heart, suddenly finding it hard to breathe as Emmanuel spoke the last sentence.

"Isabelle? Hey, Isabelle, listen to me."

But she couldn't really focus on anything except for the fact that her secret was out. But it wasn't out to just Jimmy, it was out to the whole world. She knew that Jimmy was going to get more popular and famous as time passed by but she didn't know she'd be dragged into this. She didn't know her past would be dragged into it. For the whole damn world to know.

She landed on the couch as she couldn't feel her legs anymore, her breathing becoming faster and faster.

"Isabelle, I'm going to hang up and call Claire, okay? Then I'm going to call you back and I need you to answer me."

"T-They all know..." She whispered, unable to register the events going on.

"It's going to be okay, understood?"

"He's...Jimmy's going to hate me." She cried out.

"No, he won't. He'll understand. I'm going to take the first flight out—"

"No." She spoke, regaining her composure. "I need to handle this mess."

"Isabelle, please—"

"I can't—I have to—I'll talk to you later." She forced the words out of her mouth as she hung up the phone, immediately noticing all the notifications.

Her hands were shaking as she opened up instagram and went to TMZ's page, an old picture of her and Jimmy being one of the latest posts. She was quick to click on the link, taking her to the article.

Jimmy Garoppolo: A father?

There wasn't much news surrounding Garoppolo, the former backup QB of the New England Patriots while he was there, but as soon as he was traded to the 49ers, he had found an increase in his fame. What was also found was that he used to date Kyle Shanahan's daughter, Isabelle, back in college. A source confirmed that they had ended things after he got traded, Isabelle being the one to end things for her education and career.

But another source confirms that Isabelle was pregnant with Jimmy's child while she was just a resident, right after their breakup. It's not known what occurred after, as Jimmy hasn't been seen with either Isabelle or a child during his period with the Patriots. He's been seen with his coach's daughter while in San Francisco, but with no child.

Did they agree to give the child up? Did she abort? Does Jimmy even know about his child?

Garoppolo's agent has not returned a comment on this matter, but stay tuned as we await a reply.

Isabelle was shaking as she finished reading the article, a sob leaving her lips as her life was being exposed to the whole world. She knew she had to go see Jimmy this instant. She had to explain to him. She had to do anything so he can hear what she needed to tell him.

Just as she was about to get up, there was a knock on her door. But it wasn't just one knock, it was consistent knocking. It was as if the person on the other side was going to break her door down.

And she knew who it was.

"Isabelle, open the damn door!" She heard his voice from the other side, immediately forcing her eyes shut as she tried to muster up all the energy and strength she had left.

She slowly walked towards the door, as the knocking got even more intense. When she opened the door, her fears were proven as she looked into the pained and angry eyes of Jimmy.
