When I woke up in the morning, I was lying on the deck of a lake. My bones felt strong and my mind was sharp. I felt re born. I breathed in the scarce serenity, then realized that I had no idea where I was. I stood up, (I was back into my normal form) and walked off the deck. Once I saw the tree line, I had a familiar scent of where I was. I followed the trail, and it led me back to the safe haven house. I tried my best to sneak up to my bedroom, hoping that Mel hadn't called the breakfast bell yet. Thankfully, I made it back to my room safe and sound. I got a quick shower and then got ready for the day. Just as I slipped on my last shoe, I heard Mel's bell. I laughed lightly and opened my door, walking down to the dining room.

"So, did you meet anyone at tradition that you liked?" Anna asked Haden, who slowly shook her head. We were all sitting at breakfast, having short conversations and eating divine foods. Anna smirked and looked at me. Oh no. "What about you Leda?" She asked slyly.
I thought about luke, and how much of a jerk he was..but then my mind went to Adam. He was nice, sweet, and seemed caring. I blushed and said,"there was this one guy named Adam. Pretty hot." The girls all make faces-besides Mai, who was too busy drowning in her thoughts to notice anything.

As I started walking back up to my room, to grab my purse, I heard my phone buzz. I wonder who it could be? No one has tried to contact me since I've came here. Not my old boyfriend, or even my own mother. I pulled out the phone and saw that I had a text message from "😍Adam😍" I laughed at the silly name and opened the message. It read:
"Hey:)..how is that girl you found? I tried to find you but I guess you left. We should meet up sometime;)"I laughed and replied:
"She's fine. :) there's a Starbucks here, right? We can meet there for lunch..:) 12?"A few minutes later my phone dinged again, another message from Adam:
"12 sounds great! I'm looking forward to it:)"I laughed and put my phone down, hoping that he wouldn't be like the other guys I've known. Maybe now that my powers have gotten stronger, I might be able to read him.
~After explaining to the girls where I was going, Anna Kay let me borrow her Lexus. I climbed into the seat, and started the engine. As I drive down the roads, I realized how much driving calmed me. It was strange, how one of the most dangerous things in the world could bring you such peace.
The engine roared up to the small cafe, and I started at my reflection. My eyes were glowing, and I suddenly felt self-conscious that he would think there's something wrong with me. I took a deep breath and sighed, turning off the engine and walking into the building. When I opened the door, the first thing I saw was Adam smiling at me. The sun from the window was shining on him, illuminating him with such beauty. I smiled and walked to the table.
"Hey" I said, grinning like a fool.
"Hey, it's good to see you." He returns. As he looked deeply into me eyes, I tried desperately to read him. His aurora was light, and calming. His presence instantly made me feel better.
"It's good to see you too." I say, looking at his coffee."what kind of coffee is that?"
He smiles,"it's their special. They don't even have a name for it. But it's really good. Here, try it if you want."
He pushes the drink slightly towards me. If it was any other guy, I would've said no-given my recent experiences-but I could see the honesty in him, he was truly a good person. I smiled and took the drink, cautiously taking a sip. A strange yet wonderful taste flooded my mouth, making my jaws clench. My eyes lit up,"this is great!" I say. He laughs,"I know right! It's like an explosion of flavor!" I laugh. He stares deeply into my eyes, and I squirm in my seat, feeling slightly uncomfortable. "What?" I laugh nervously.
"It's just," he stares deeper,"you have such beautiful eyes. They're unlike anything I've ever seen."
I blush and look away, I hope he doesn't think I'm weird. He reaches across the table and lifts my head up gently with his fingers, looking me in the eyes, smiling. "So..beautiful." He says. Tsunami tides roll in my stomach, and I feel warmth spread through my body. The aurora of the room was unlike anything I've ever felt. I saw his lips part, and felt his hot breath. Then, completely ruining the moment, my phone buzzed. A text from Anna that read: "How's the date going? ;)"
I rolled my eyes and inhaled deeply. "Sorry, that was just my crazy roommate." I said.
He looked down, somewhat dishearted, but he replied with,"it's okay"
But I knew that it wasn't. The aura had already changed. "Let's go to the park." I said, desperate to get a scenery change. "Okay." He said, putting on a fake smile. We got into my-or Anna Kay's-car, the engine roared, and we were off to the park.
~
As we walked, the slight breeze flowed through my hair, and scents filled my nostrils. Every now and then, his hand would brush against mine. I wanted so badly to hold it, I usually don't get attached to people, but Adam was different. I just felt this weird pull to him, like a connection-a bond that couldn't be broken. After the 3rd time his hand brushed mine, I got the courage to grab it. When our fingers locked, i felt a surreal energy move over me. I smiled and looked up at him, to see him smiling back at me. His eyes glowed this beautiful green color, it was like an oceans tide, pulling me into them. And I was incapable to pull away.
We walked hand in hand, through the park trails, talking and laughing.
It was sunset, when I told him that I had to go. We walked through the autumn trees and back to the parking lot. As we were standing by the car, I was digging in my coat pockets for the keys. When I finally found them, they fell. While I was bending over to pick them up, I heard a whistle from a few feet away. I quickly grabbed the keys and looked around me, seeing a tall, tan man staring at me. I looked at Adam, whose eyes were now fading from their bright green to black. My eyes widened, what was he? A wolf? I saw his sculpted jaw clench, and he said calmly, "get in the car." I unlocked the door and climbed in, anxiously watching Adam through the window. He slowly walked over to the man, saying,"who do you think your whistling at?"
The man said,"just a fine young lady, you have a problem with it?" He was smirking. I could feel Adam's anger, it was so strong. "Listen here dude, you lay off my girl." Adam said. My heart fluttered. Am I really his girl? And should I really be so happy about that? I saw Adam slam his hand against the mans window, shattering it to pieces, and then he walked away. He opened up my car door furiously, and sat down. After taking some deep breaths, he turned to me. when our eyes locked, the blackness that once was there vanished completely. "I'm sorry you had to see that. I-I can't control it. I'm just really protective of you." Adam said, looking deeply into my eyes. I lifted my hand and put it on his cheek saying,"it's alright...but I have to ask, what are you?"
He scoffed and said,"you wouldn't believe me."
"Try me." I smirked.
"I'm a wolf ok. A lycanthrope. I go to an all boys academy for teens with special gifts." He says, red faced.
"There's no need to be embarrassed. I-I am too. I'm a white wolf-the alpha. I go to an all girls school for supernaturals." I say, looking into his eyes, we stare at each other for what seems like infinity, and then he slowly leans in. Our lips meet, and it felt like two lovers reuniting. Our lips danced together in harmony with such passion, and we couldn't stop.
I'm not sure how many minutes passed while we were snogging, but it was purely euphoric.
When we pulled away, we looked at eachother so deeply-like we could see each others souls. "I hope that's not too soon...I just have such a strong connection to you. I think that we might be-" he started but I cut him off by saying,"mates"We smiled and kissed again, until the moon appeared in the sky, along with it's mate-the stars.
