It was Riddhima's Mehndi ceremony a lady's function only, the Guptas' had come to Raizada Mansion to attend it, of course, in the function hall only Khushi and Garima were allowed while Shashi went in the outhouse to join the men. After the incident on the engagement day she didn't felt like coming to Raizada Mansion, she felt like it was a lion's den, his den. Even though he didn't do anything inappropriate, but she was feeling nervous and shy, for the first time in her life. It consoled her that this was women's thingy.

"thank god he's not here"

"Hari Prakash send a coffee to my room" he said passing beside her

"talk about the devil"

"Gupta" he said without looking at her

"it's a ladies' function" she managed to reply before he could disappear up to the stairs.

"my house, my rules" she heard him say, leaving her hell shocked.

"what he thinks of himself" she grumbled

"Khush come here" Riddhima called and she went to sat near her and on everyone's insistence she asked to the artist to do the mehndi on her hands too. Today was her best friend's mehndi and she was supposed to be happing, but she was pissed off since yesterday "that Sophie...I'll get to her" she thought "how could she talk like that...it's inappropriate...especially about Raizada" saying the last word a little too loudly.

The mehndi was done and now the women where just chatting in the living room over a cup of chai.

"Khushi Beta why are you looking sad?" Dadi asked suddenly looking at her gloomy face.

"It's nothing Dadi, just work" she replied passing a smile at Dadi

"Still!" Dadi insisted

"As you know, I've joined office and I told Dad that according to me, the female employees should follow a code dressand you know what he replied?" She said with wide eyes.

"What" Dadi asked curiously

"That I'm newcomers" she told them that she had noticed that the male staff had a code dress to fallow while the female staff not and she felt it wrong, because she believes in equality, and on top of it, she wants a certain code dress for the entire staff, because she wants to take the company's image to another level.

While she was putting forward her thoughts, someone was smiling at her from far away "not bad Gupta" for the first time Arnav Singh Raizada was impressed by someone and that too a girl. Too many first things were happing in his life nowadays. He was impressed by her even that day too at her dad's office but being him, he never admitted to himself. Like now he was going to admit it, no ways. Only one part of his body, which seemed out of his control in these days would admit and not only this, but then between his heart and brain, the brain always win, maybe wants to protect the poor heart only or maybe he actually doesn't know how to love or simply he is too scared....

"You know Dadi, I'm also a modern girl, but what's the need to show so much" and finally she let out the thing that was bothering her since yesterday, in Khushi's words "abb aaya na truck pul ke neeche". And after these words of hers other too person joined her funclub.

"she had values and believes in traditions" Dadi appreciated

"she is perfect for chote" Aradhana thought

Unknowingly Khushi Gupta, that day with a single arrow hit 3 targets. While her mind was reminiscing yesterday's event

"Sophie stop mentally undressing him"

"Sophie you're paid to work" a voice echoed in the hall and rotating on her highheels, Sophie come face to face, with a furious Khushi Gupta. The two women after mumbling a "sorry" quickly went back to their work. Khushi knows that people gossip in the office and she would have ignored all those talks, but on hearing Arnav's name, something snapped in her and she couldn't stop herself. She didn't know why but she wanted to rip apart that Sophie's face "how could she say those things....and what the other one said...yeah, she tried to attract him by revealing her body...what a shit of a woman...let me get my hands on her" she marched toward the reception to let that woman know her right place "Miss Gupta" damn her client come to her rescue "I'll get to you later" she had thrown a dangerous look at her before turning to the client.]]__

"she was mentally undressing Raizada" her eyes grow bigger at the mare thought and her cheeks started heating up. 

"Khushi Beta don't spoil your mood" Dadi said interrupting Khushi's reminiscence just in time "talk calmly and I think Shashi Beta will understand your point of view"

Khushi smiled at her and they again got immersed in discussing about the details of the upcoming functions.
