It was morning everyone was sleeping, he reached his room carefully without being watched, he took a deep breath before pushing the door of his room, not ready to confront her yet. He went in and was surprised to not find anyone "where she went?" was the thought that came to his mind, but he shrugged it off thinking that maybe she went to another room, especially after yesterday night's talk, he did her a favor.
He heard the clapping of hands before her sarcastic voice reached him "and here comes Mr. I-know-it-all" he turned sharply and found her standing near the French-door, face straight and red eyes fixed on him. Oh yeah, she was mad, and god knows how much.
"listen" he started but he was cut off
"not fair" she said moving her right index "it's my turn, you have already said whatever you wanted last night" she said accusingly, a storm was coming on his way. How could he ruin such an important night and get away with it, no ways, especially when on the other hand there was someone called Khushi Gupta.
"Gupta" he started again
"Raizada I will talk, and you will listen" this time her voice was commanding, she took few steps towards him "you want divorce" she asked standing before him and curving her eyebrow "Fine. But I want it now, not after one or two months, but right now" she crossed her arms across her chest,
"have you lost it" he said with gritted teeth almost hovering on her
"you are the one who asked for divorce" she poked with her index on his chest, "no, let me correct myself, declared of getting divorced and I'm the one who lost it" she shouted at the top of her voice, his ears drums almost burst and she pushed him, making him go against the cupboard behind, infuriating him even more in the process "and what you mean by I hadn't a choice" she asked dangerously coming close with her face "for your kind information Mr. Raizada, I'm here because I wanted it, you really think that I hadn't a choice?" she said stepping backwards and throwing her arms in the air with an unbelievable expression on her face, as if he said something ridiculous, like the sun rises in the west.
"then what was that" he wondered remembering the scene that he witnessed the other day, while going to collect Riddhima's phone that she had forgot at her house.
"Anyways" she broke his reverie "since I'm not an hothead like you" she touched her own head making him narrow his eyes "I'm giving you 12 hours to think upon it again, after that bring the divorce papers, else I want you to give a chance to this marriage" moving her right hand between them
"a chance after what I saw" he cursed mentally
She turned to the door, not wanting him to see her face, only she knows how much it hurts, to say those words, but she can't let him rule her life.
"how dare she" he growled mentally, closing his hands in fists
"Didn't you and Vicky have a thingy" he blurted out in rage, go hell with her conditions.
"yeah, if I was a boy" she replied turning to him with an obvious expression, not getting why he asked that question, still angry at his for last night. As soon as the information sank in, his eyes grow bigger and his facial expressions changed from an irritated one to a shocked one.
"what the hell"
"he's g..."
"damn"
"they are"
"shit"
"FRIENDS"
"you are such a moron"
His cursing session was interrupted by a knock on the door "Khushi beta is everything okay" they heard Aradhana's voice, they turned their gaze to the closed door and then at each other shocked "did we were that loud" she thought and saw that the same question was going in his mind, because he moved his head worryingly between her and the door.
"Khushi beta"
Khushi went to the door and was going to turn the key to unlock it, but realizing something, she sharply turned and come back, confusing him with her act "open the door" she commanded passing near him, he turned his gaze and saw her opening the door of the washroom "what the"
"till you don't make decision" she hinted at herself and he got it, she was still wearing her wedding lehenga, when she closed the door behind her, he take off the sherwani, wore a pair of sweatpants and went to open the door.
"Morning Mom, you need anything?" he said opening the door
"where's Khushi" Aradhana asked after mumbling a morning
"in the washroom" he replied wearing a t-shit and Aradhana realized that maybe she had disturbed something and suppressing a mischievous smile, she requested to join for the aarti and left from there.
"gosh" he muttered turning to look at his room, he got the meaning of his mother's naughty expressions, his sherwani was lying on the floor. As soon as he closed the door, he heard the bathroom's door being unlocked and she come out "I need my cloths" she mumbled hinting to the luggage, which was lying unpacked on the left side of his wardrobe. He saw her going towards the suitcase and after few seconds he gulped hard, her bare waist and stomach were at his lustful eyes mercy, that was the exact moment when he realized what she was wearing and how beautiful she looked in that outfit, no less than any goddess "damn to you Raizada" for the first time in his life he cursed himself and that too twice in the same day. He hadn't spared a glance to her yesterday, only thanks to his wrong assumptions. Assumptions that made him not talk to her when she requested for a meet the other day. He was brought back by the click of the door and he realized that she went back to the bathroom.
He sat down on the recliner exhausted, taking his head in his hands and he thought about the events that occurred in his life in the last few days. After a long time, he lifted his head and his eyes fall on her dupatta, which was lying on bench in the poolside, he shifted his gaze at the bed and the guilt hit him even harder, realizing that she hadn't slept due to him "you've done a huge mess" he concluded.
When Khushi come out of the bathroom he wasn't there anymore and she breathed out in relief, after the outburst she wasn't feeling like seeing him. she had spent the entire night at the poolside. Last night was the worse in her life, when he barged out of the room, she was hell angry and just wanted to break something or someone, then as his words started making home in her heart, she had cried like hell and was going to do so, till Aman's words didn't reached her mind and she made up her mind, she will fight for this marriage, she had seen a soft corner in his eyes towards her in the past few days, of course she can't name it as love, but since friendship is the base of every relationship, they could at least try to be friends first and give a fair chance to this marriage, but asking for divorce because he thinks that she hadn't a choice, it just made her mad.
